Bartz, Yuna and Tidus look great, though I prefer the priestess Yuna over the popstar Yuna :p

I guess we should expect every main protags of FF to appear here.

Still no Blue Mage or Bard?

Still no apology for no stereoscopic 3D?

Sigh. I guess I'll end up getting it anyway for Final Fantasy I 3D.

The game looks a bit of a mess to me. Also artstyle is really generic for a FF, I don't feel it. Gameplay looks clunky, unpolished and with a terrible camera. Why they didn't develop a safe FFTA3 instead of this shit? :(

With this and Curtain Call - SE is bringing the 3DS out of oblivion.

I think it looks great. A spiritual successor to the wonderful CC series

Except lacks the art style, music and themes of FF:CC. Only the multiplayer stays, and that was not the best part of CC series. Overall though I would've love more a new FFtactics, that would be quite unique considering we have enough multiplayer mh-like coop games already while less and less tradition sjrpgs in the west.

I used to be so interested in this before I learned it has no stereoscopic 3D, and in the wake of the improved effect on n3DS no less...

I think that's the point, yeah.

Fun fact: the game comes out exactly 27 years after the very first Final Fantasy game. Dec. 18 1987 vs Dec. 18 2014.

That's not Geomancer, but Beastmaster.

Heh, no idea why I wrote Geomancer instead... Thanks for the heads up!

Sure tanioka isn't coming back, but sekito is doing the OST and he has done some promising stuff in the past. IIRC he did some SaGa and FFXIV stuff

And the main art director of CC is doing this game

Speaking of which, is she still in S-E or went freelance?

No word yet, but you can bet if it comes it'll be around june/september next

She is freelance. She did music for Ragnarok Odyssey and contributed to Smash Bros.

Sekito is a great composer though and did play guitar for the Crystal Bearers soundtrack.

I agree the game doesn't look great and nowhere near as polished as the Crystal Chronicles games. No 3D is ridiculous considering the game isn't particularly technically impressive.

Tanioka has been freelance for a few years now. She composed the music for Ragnarok Odyssey, among other things.

Has there been word of a western release yet or are we still waiting on that?

Word... sort of. There's a trademark in both EU and NA. That's a good sign, there was one for Curtain Call months before they announced it.

It's Final Fantasy. I'd be surprised if this didn't end up localised, especially since there seems to be much less text to translate compared to your run-of-the-mill RPG.

Oh, and forgot those two pics for the Machinist.

Looks awesome and super fun. Got a little monster hunter vibe to it and the art style is great.

Hope more FF vets make the cut.

Uhm...more like Theathrhytm ended up in Oblivion :(
Understandable, its a bad game. Doesn't suck but it doesn't shine either :/

Fake edit: and what? Where is the 3DS in oblivion? Pretty damn sure Smash and MH4G manages just fine to not let the 3DS fall in "oblivion".

I went from not caring at all to caring a lot with this one update.

Looks very cool, though I will wait to hear impressions before I get too excited. I haven't been given any reason to put confidence in the gameplay.

I hate how every enemy that's not a summon dies from one or two hits >_>

Edit: Also please dont compare this mess to the wonderful FFCC kthxbye.
