Whatever happened to Oreshika?
Is that 2015 now?

Figured I'd ask in here since that was announced the same time as this.

Wow, I'm surprised there's one in Houston and not Dallas or Austin. That's pretty cool.

Yeah, wasn't expecting my city to be in but, nope.. there it is.
Makes sense though since its the most populated city in Texas.
I hardly even know anyone in Houston that owns a Vita though.

SCEA hasn't spoken about Oreshika since its localization announcement.

To be fair late 2014 has been pretty packed for Vita (as packed as Vita releases can get anyway) so it makes sense for them to keep it away from the spotlight until 2015 when the drought starts.

Same thing as what happened to Soul Sacrifice Delta, you'll get it whenever - whether that be this or next year (it'll be digital only it also).

My guess is its taking a lot more time to localize. At least when it comes out in the US you guys will be getting a patched up version Id imagine.

Though I still think people are going to be going WAT due to the story has stuff tied into the original title which never came out I do believe.

The gameplay looks pretty fun. I wonder if the shooting mechanics feel like a tps or not.

Idk in a lot of ways, the pvp reminds me of Kid Icarus Uprising

Does this game have a good story or a story at all?

There is a "story" just dont expect it to be good, since it isnt. Trust me. Which is a damned shame since they had done a good job for what it was with the God Eater series. So with that being said I blame the director / scenario writer. As it sure doesnt seem like they had the same person working on the project as they did with God Eater. The bad animations used during the cutscenes dont help either. Since bunch of the stuff in there looks like "pre-canned" animations used rather than original ones. You folks will see what Im talking about when you get hands on with the title.

Thankfully there is more than enough to do gameplay wise so that kinda helps lessen the disappointment with the story. Such a waste since the game has a fantastic varied cast.

Correct. Nick Accordino (SCE Producer in charge of localization for Freedom Wars) was on Podcast Beyond yesterday and he said that there's a high-level meta game that compares Panopticons, so since a player switching between them would have an effect on that meta-game's stats, they want to limit it as much as possible. That was his explanation for the fee.

He also said the game doesn't have microtransactions aside from the Panopticon change fee.
That seems like a perfectly reasonable solution. How much is the fee?

Just realized this is Vita and not PS4. :'(

I wouldn't expect anything special, but I'm pretty sure the gameplay will outweigh the mediocre story.

Not happy with the choices.

Also, why does Australia get 2 destinations and some other countries not? The population there isn't as big.
But ok, it used to be a prison island so maybe it fits the games narrative better :p

Sydney and Perth, huh?

There be some Melbourne beef.

Dude seriously. I get Perth because it kind of covers the other side of AU but choosing Sydney over Melbourne makes me sad. I'm almost considering joining a totally different country. Fuck Sydney.

Toronto represent

But why... Edmonton over Vancouver or Montreal...? I guess for Canada they went with Toronto in the east, and Edmonton in the West, but even so Vancouver would seem like a better choice. Ah whatever.

I'm getting hyped for this game again :( but should I wait until there is an "expanded" edition (if it ever comes out) or support it at launch? +1 Mexico

I'll be honest, I have the game pre-ordered but I have no idea what these Panopticons actually do. Is there any reason you'd want to pick your own country over another one? Because I sure don't want to contribute to London unless required.

Think of it as this:
Panopticons are cities - if you pick and represent your, you'll be contributing your stats and more to it. You're fighting 'war' with other prefectures/cities.

Toronto, Canada is a surprise to me.

Edmonton is really unusual though. I thought for sure Vancouver would be in.
