Sunset Overdrive Coming To PC?

To a lot of people, a PC releases means nothing. The type of person that has a powerful gaming rig and is also considering an xbox one is not a huge market. They might lose a handful of sales but some guy going into Gamestop will mostly consider it an Xbox exclusive still. Especially since it'd likely be months later.

Its a mistake, but dont be surprised if a PC version pops up out the blue next summer.
At this point, every microsoft "exclusive" that they havent outright bought the IP is suspect.
To Microsoft, it matters little of there is a PC version down the line. Long as its exclusive for at least 6 months, thats good enough.
For the record, I feel the same for any third party Sony exclusive that isnt coming from japan.
The PC is just too lucative a market and the traditional barriers to porting dont really exist anymore.

Yea hopefully its a mistake (one of the reasons I brought my xbox one) though depending on how well the Xbox one version does I do see a PC version coming out...
There aren't any Xbox exclusives on PC.
As far as actual Xbone exclusives aside from For a, the only one I can think of is Killer Instinct.

What does list wars have to do with not wanting to buy the game Tuesday just to find out I could have got it for cheaper and at 1080/60 on PC if I wait a few months.

Gears 1, Halo CE, and Halo 2 all received PC ports, and if anything, both franchises were strengthened as far as popularity goes. If someone buys the PC port for the first game, and the sequel is then announced as Xbox exclusive, then that person could buy a console just to play more games in the series.
"List Warz" is important, why buy an xbox if all of its exclusives go to PC eventually?
and nobody is suffering. if you really think you'll suffer for not playing a certain game, then just buy the damn console + game

I completely agree with you, I do think they are mostly different audiences as well but I can see MS thinking differently. Same reason I think we'll see a Halo MCC on PC a year or so after an xbox one release as well.
If you bought the console because you were put under the impression that it was an exclusive, I think it's understandable for someone to get pissed off about it.
Although that's more about being withheld information than the port existing in and of itself.
It was on Hull Daily Mail (I can't link because GAF is censoring it, possibly because it has the word Daily Mail in the URL?), but some of the ads seem to be through adchoices so it could possibly be based on cookies of what I've browsed for previously. I'm not having any luck getting it to show up again right now. Give it a shot!
I have to agree with Hindle(wat) if they get it out for PC 6+ months after XB1 it could(!) lead to more XB1 sales in the long run.

Playing the game at a better resolution and framerate and at a cheaper price all sound like the right kind of problems to have to me.

Forza 5 has an unreleased PC version they show off at events, but yeah. Forza (Motorsport and horizon), Halo, Gears, possibly Quantum Break, Scalebound, Phantom Dust, Crackdown 3.
And Sunset Overdrive seems unlikely given the devs said they weren't working on a PC version, so this is probably a typo.

There is literally no xbox news you wont spin into being good haha. I think its bad it shows xbox one hasnt got many excluisve games if they keep coming out on pc.
I really wouldn't be surprised. Games for Windows 10 or even an Xbox for Windows 10 service could be a part of Satya's "strengthening gaming experiences on PCs and consoles as well as cross platform monetisation" along with having a singular OS. Who knows with what they are up to these days
I would imagine they'd release it on every viable platform under the sun if they could and thought it would be profitable.
I think it's safe to say it would be on PS4 day one if they didn't have an agreement with Microsoft.
As far as the game itself goes it looks like it has potential but I'll have to try it hands on as the developer doesn't have that good of a track record at this point. If it lived up to the hype it's been getting it could be a good pick up if it drops on PC or when I eventually but an Xbone.

9-12 months after release doesn't mean much really. As said, it never harmed Halo or Gears.

It just stopped me from picking up the bundle, if there is a chance this is coming to PC I see no reason yet again to get an Xbox One (btw I just joined PC master race)
