Yeah, that begins to change my mind. That does seem to acknowledge it's still a possibility.

I still think it's unlikely, but I'll now admit that there is a realistic chance of it happening. I also think that if it does happen, ME4 is further away than we think.

As long as they offer up any non-framerate/resolution improvements to PC, I'm good, and would probably triple dip. And needs to be done by an outside team so that it doesn't affect ME4's release timeframe.

Most likely would be handled by an outside team than Bioware Montreal itself so I doubt it would affect development.

I doubt they'd release a remastered trilogy and ME4 that close together. That's why I think if it happens, ME4 is further than we hope.

It means we can't say anything more at this time.

This will annoy you, no doubt, but I'm basically taking this, along with that tweet, as sign that it IS happening.

JohnnyFootball, you were right all along.

The thing I'd love to hear from people is what you'd like to have in such an experience. For me (personal opinion, and based on what people have told me many times before):

- 1080p
- 60 fps
- High res textures, especially on ME1
- Some shader improvements commensurate with newer GPUs
- All the DLC
- "Seamless experience" - the adventures flow into each other without having to go back to save import, menu screens, etc.

Agree / disagree? What else?

Bear in mind this is a "wish list" at this point...

All of this plus a fully intact ME3 multiplayer!

Update the lighting engine in ME1.

I'm not sure I need the seamless experience bit... I'm fine with the games as they are, but looking nicer. I'm sure there's a few people that would like to skip certain entries, so making it one giant game might annoy them a bit. I also wouldn't want the gameplay changed so all three play the same. Basically, all I want is the three games looking nicer.

Oh, and some model improvements for FemShep. Better hair, face geometry from ME3 backported to the earlier games.

- 1080p - 60 fps
- all DLC included
- high res textures
- lighting and shader improvements where applicable
- shorter elevator times in ME1 and loading screens in the sequels.
- fixing the ability to walk in ME2/3 hubs
- getting rid of those insta-kills in ME3, they're bad gameplay

The seamless experience sounds cool, as long as we also have the option to do a specific game (with appropriate Genesis comic at the start, or a system more akin to Dragon Age Keep).

I'd play the shit out of ME3 MP again.

Imagine if they redo ME1 combat with the ME2/ME3 combat mechanics.

Would be the game of forever.

Yes, exactly this. And controller support for the PC. Keep it simple enough so that it's cheap enough to get it out there.

That's literally almost word for word what I would envision for a "wish list". The seamless experience bit would be an excellent idea actually if feasible. I'm assuming that would 'theoretically' entail being on one disc also?

It's probably too much work, but as many have noted... updated gameplay mechanics for ME1. Just the way the cover & movement were handled are archaic and clumsy.

That said, I'd be curious to see how one would translate the existing inventory system in ME1 to what ME3 did. Might be a good way to decimate all those upgrades and make it easier to switch ammo types.

DLC is the most important thing. It's so difficult to get some of the DLC that having it all in one nice package for PS4 would be amazing.

Also amazing would be official controller support for the PC versions. This has prevented me from replaying as I want to play on my TV.

Holstering in ME3.

More hairstyles (basically, put all the ME3 new hairstyles in all the games).

Agree with everything. I'd like beards, though.

Must haves for graphics? New skin shaders for humans, more dynamic lights, real-time sun shadowmap.

Bring back the grain filter option. :p

edit: And let players change their hair in the game. :p Might as well update hair shaders too...

Make the jump boosters of the Mako in ME1 100% more efficient so we can jump over almost every cliffs or mountains in our way without all the issues of the current ME1.

Also holstering in ME3.

All right, all right. I'll ride along for a little bit, until tomorrow at least.

Glad that Bioware is aware of the communities interest, but it's ultimately going to be up to the bean counters to give the OK. Who knows which way EA will fall in this sort of thing.

Yes 100% agree
And if we where to buy such a thing maybe in a future game in the series that is yet to be unveiled you get something special if you finished the trilogy with these "releases".

That way "true" fans are recognized in a fun way but not in a way to drives away new players for that game.

[edit]

Yep, controller support for PC would be very nice.
A good one that I did not think off but man that would be great to maybe I'll even buy the game twice over then :O

Oh, improve the journal in ME3 to equal of that in ME1 and 2 as well. Also return it to the top of the menu instead of manual.

That is all but a confirmation. If it was not in the works he would not just make that comment out of the blue. Nevertheless, it's nice to know it's coming eventhough we won't hear anything tomorrow.

since everyone is in la-la land in terms of a theoretical remaster, let's also have Bioware fix the entire mess of a plot and premise that is ME3.

Rewrite the entire thing, cut away the dumb ending and the dumb kid and the dumb Earth and the dumb unite the warring races and the dumb reapers are here! and the dumb pick up 3 space wolf pelts during the apocalypse and the dumb citadel is the magical solution out of nowhere and the...
