Ugh please tell me the day one patch isn't enormous.
First person looks fantastic but also pretty wonky at the same time. It bugs me how the arms are positioned in such a way that they don't make much sense a lot of the time. Feels like they really want to show off that you can see your hands and movements at times where it seems unnecessary
meh, people posted the exact same thing when GTA4 gameplay vids started getting posted and someone linked a vid of Niko shooting up an ER room.

some guys that saw some of the new stream said he was firing shots through a car window and the glass shatter is much better now... better particle effects, the hole and breaking looks better. /pray it could look like that The Division shootout trailer
i didn't seen it tho... i've been watching the stream and never saw it come online but a lot of folks on GTAF (and here too it seems) said they saw it a few minutes

I agree somewhat with the posters saying that gif was a little more brutal then on last gen.
I think when playing GTA in 3rd person you're given a barrier between yourself the acts of violence as they're being carried out by your character/avatar whereas playing in first person gives you the sense that it is you carrying out the killing.
I do think parents need to be especially diligent in making sure kids aren't exposed to too much of this but for adults and people 18+ it looks fantastic. Cannot wait for Tuesday now.

it's the effects, too.. i mean killing on ps3 is almost comical. folks fall down like dolls and the blood isn't very gory or believable.

Since when does the Dualshock 4 work with GTAV on PS3? You absolutely sure it wasn't the PS4 version?
It was the PS3 version. Game had many pop-ins, low res and textures and the old minimap. It was PS3.
Okay, I'll take your word for it. Not sure what he's doing to make it work, though. I'm trying it out right now both wired and wireless on my PS3 and it isn't working.

I think there was some pop-in with the grass, but I couldn't tell for sure from the stream quality. As long as the pop-in remains minimal, I don't really mind. Also, isn't there supposed to be an optimisation patch next week?

I watched that video in the same room as my wife. My wife wouldn't bat an eye if she looked at my screen and saw some random videogame, but if she saw a semi-naked virtual lady on screen, she'd probably wonder what the hell I was watching.

It's not like it comes out of nowhere. There's minutes of just walking into the strip club and seeing clothes chicks. Anyone who's played the game (or has ever been to a strip club) knew where the video was going from there.
