I bought and then promptly sold back my PS3 copy once this version's existence got leaked.
So yeah, going in fresh and its.... its pretty fucking exciting (^____^)
Pretty much this and MCC is all I'll be playing for AT LEAST the rest of the year...

Still not sure where I sit on the first person view yet. It'll be interesting to experience the game from a new perspective, but you lose so much awareness and a lot of the time there's weird/crazy things happening in your periphery in GTA. Nice bonus, but I don't know how much time I'll spend in the view.

Still undecided on whether this will have a minor impact on the relationship with the protagonists for somebodies first play through.

Honestly don't expect the gunplay to be that great per say. Rather the perspective in general coupled with the game's known scale (and now added visual density/fidelity) is what's gonna put it on a whole other level

Streets still seem pretty empty :/.
Well, that's not really an issue for those of us that played the game last year and already knows what's happening.

Came here to post the same. Really cool.
Also it seems like the sounds design has been altered quite a bit to make it feel like an FPS. The sound of the car as he turns from one side to another is quite nice.

The haze over the city right now looks really good. The streetlights pop WAY more than the last gen version.
And i agree that there could still be more traffic/peds. It seems there's like a more consistent stream of unique models now, but it's still mostly ~5 or so vehicles that pack up around the corners like in all these open world games.

You won't believe how much faster it is on PS3 with an SSD.
Makes me want to order one for the PS4 too.

At least i know that this game has great additions to it, it looks beautiful, and the first person mode is amazing. Love the little tweaks they did.
