I don't know how accurate those numbers are, but I could swear Xbone sold a bit more. If those are true then it's worse than I have imagined. That pretty much confirms that xbone is dead in Germany.
EDIT: Ok, WiiU numbers are mentioned by Nintendo themselves and xbone is tracked by GfK. Good god Microsoft...

Not mentioned in the press release. It just says "sold". Whatever that means. But since they hit this mark over 3 weeks ago I think it could really mean sold through.

The million for UK was announced early september. It's nice that the german market is so close behind. Where is that french million, PlayStation France ?
Hard to become relevant these day when Japan is declining in demographic and being in state of atrophy for almost 20 years
It's not like the UK was swimming in them either - was a good few months before I actually saw one in a shop in London.

No wonder Sony isn't as aggressive about winning in the States this holiday.
For what it's worth, the X1 really did bad here at the local Saturn market but when I was there yesterday to get GTAV I've seen 2 people buying the AC:U bundle and a generally much lower stock in store than months ago.

Pretty much the case in all of europe. Its pretty much a lost cause for the Xbox one outside the US/UK.

It's just the situation people live in and what they experience first hand. I often feel like our US friends really can't grab the German situation for instance. How PS4 has been THE CONSOLE since launch and that the Xbox One is in a really bad place (although it does get better). Evey time someone said MCC would sell a ton of Xbox Ones I had to think about the German market and just laugh about that idea.

On launch day and several weeks later, there were tons of unsold Xbox Ones in my Saturn and MediaMarkt as well. Compared to, well you saw it for yourself, what happened to ps4.

Mario Kart. Before MK8 ist was pretty depressing but things are getting better. So does the Xbox One situation. There are new offers almost every day now with multiple games and controllers and Xbox Live Gold so yeah. MS is still fighting and that's great.

WiiU has been a year longer in the market....
US still makes up for a big part of the total of consoles sold worldwide. Then you have Japan (ha!), UK, France and Germany that are traditional big markets but still a lot smaller than the US alone. The rest are even smaller by themselves. Who cares if there is a 20:1 PS4 ratio vs XB1 in Portugal? It's insignificant. It's only relevant when you add all of those small markets which makes up for a significant part of the worldwide console market. Unfortunately we don't have those aggregated numbers to analyze unlike NPD data every month.

Precisely. Even if they loose a month or two (and they wouldn't even loose by much) it'd be irrelevant I the grand scheme of things. They'll still easily smoke MS WW and NA is only like 35 percent of their oveeall business anyways.
