This makes zero sense.
They remastered X and X-2 using the International version, they remastered Kingom Hearts 1, 2 and BbS using the Final Mix version. I know people like to say "but S-E!", but sometimes we could just use logic and find the answer.

For sure. I feel like they missed the train and I wish they would've just caught another. PS4/XB1 port doesn't even look good, to be blunt.

Like, I intentionally ignore the trailers and stream footage to keep from dissuading myself from buying it. It's not doing anything on the new consoles it couldn't on PS3.

Wow, I JUST finished the Vita version last night, did about 50 hours of it on the Vita and about 10 on the PS3 and not once did I stop and wish that it was on PS4 instead.

It was fucking amazing btw, legendary RPG that I didn't want to end.

SE gotta recycle those assets I guess.

It's definitely rough. Only thing it has going for it is the new lighting.

PC version PLEASE! Already have two copies on PS2 and Vita but if we can get a PC version that opens up graphical mods, YES YES YES @#*($&@

Sure, why not? Might as well have it out on every platform. The amount of resources it took to get this on PS4 was probably minimal.

Is this true? unbelievable...talk about bad decisions. I'm surprised SquarEnix hasn't fallen under yet. People have been asking for certain games and it's like they just ignore their fans requests and put out whatever they want. What's the point of releasing a Playstation 3/Vita on the PS4? They said they would remaster XII depending on the Sales of X/X-2 HD. And I thought X/X-2 HD sold well for a remaster. Anybody have the actual numbers?

Yeah it's not going to win any awards for graphical fidelity but I look at it like it's a remake of a PSP game and it's one that the west hasn't had. I'm going into it for a new FF experience that I've wanted for 3 years now.

so fans have been requesting 7 forever and we get a pc port to ps4, and X which has already been remade is now going to get a second upgrade for ps4?

maybe SE will split the XV demo code in two halves one for Type-0 HD and one for FFX/X-2 HD PS4. You know, so they can charge $60 for that one too.

Graphical mods won't have the same effect as modern games or even XIII. PS2 era assets not to mention the pre rendered stuff. Character and enemy models with as much AA as you want maybe?

'We' dont. So few 3rd party games are exclusives to consoles we dont really need to.

AnywYs, on PC, you can play at increasingly high resolutions as time goes on without having to keep rebuying the game. Surely that seems to be something of an issue here.

The PS3 version already runs in 1080p and both games are locked at 30 fps in the engines. Unless the PS4 version adds a bunch of AA or even 4K resolution, it will be pointless since I already own the PS3 version.

Well, I'll just wait for Verendus to come back and clear it up. He hasn't been posting since Thursday. I REALLY want to know what he has to say about the FFVII incident and what it means for the "real" remake he supposedly saw with his own eyes last year.

Wow, I almost bought the PS3 version yesterday.

Will definitely buy on PS4. Hopefully Kingdom Hearts is next!

Hehe, I just think it looks like fun. And being able to play multiplayer in the game with three friends, seems like a lot of fun. And I'm just glad Square Enix doing something on consoles that isn't Final Fantasy.

I see why some folks would be upset. Having already double dipped on the vita and PS3 versions I am sure that I would pick this up anyway.

Square doesn't want to make a new game. They can just keep remastering and porting shit forever.

While you're at it, give us FF12 PS4//PS3/Vita. That's what we really want!
