FINAL FANTASY X/X 2 HD Remaster for PS4?

I dislike the precedent to release something on PS3 and then a year later put it on PS4. Knew that no backwards compatability would lead to this and yep here we are.

Dude, I'm scared to play any Final Fantasy game now. Still a FF newbie. Haven't beat a single one. Have tried 13 and 9, couldn't get into them. Maybe I need to spend more time with 9.

But seriously, I'm afraid to try another one because they'll just rerelease it on PS4...
I thought IX was immediately captivating when I played it earlier this year, so if that didn't do anything for you then maybe the series isn't for you. If you want to look into other games, a lot of people like VII, a lot of people like VI, and really classy people such as myself like XII (but perhaps you'd need to spend time with others in the series before you can appreciate what XII does)

And who cares if they re-release one of them? It doesn't invalidate the time you spent on them. If you want to feel safe from substantial re-releases, though, play one of the PSone games

Selling remasters or remakes isn't purely about appealing to nostalgia and selling to fans. They're also for people who weren't aware of the games before or even around at all to play them at all.
Yeah but the ps3/vita releases are less than a year old. Anyone who weren't around in the ps2 days could've jumped in there. Would have made more sense to do FFXII (Yes I am bitter they haven't done this yet).

Don't worry dude, even if they do release a remaster, they don't add new stuff, they remaster the soundtrack and that's the only real difference.

If you don't mind the graphics, go and play any of them, you won't have to play the PS4 version if they rerelease it (people here are buying it mostly because they like FFX and want to play it again).

Or... no? What if you don't have or want a Vits or PS3?

You know there are probably plenty of kids that missed that gen and are getting PS4s, right?

Maybe it was because I was just coming off of playing Chrono Trigger for the first time. Should have saved it for last on my quest to open my mind to a new genre.

And what I mean is, say I buy X and X-2 on my Vita. Then they release it on PS4. I'll feel more compelled to play it on PS4 because who wouldnt? Idk. Maybe you're right though.

What? No no no no no. You're supposed to be mad that they're porting it again even though you already bought it/don't have to buy it again. Stick to the script!

Oh, right! My bad! What I meant to say was... FUCK OFF, SQUARE. Shitbags have a set of balls on them, I'll give 'em that. Ignoring the cries and pleas of their most loyal users. I'm done. I don't even care if we get XII Remastered at this point.

I already own it on the Vita but I wouldn't mind buying it on the PS4 down the road if the price is right.

Still haven't even touched X-2 after 110+ hours in X.

I would triple dip. I'm part of the problem. Someone berate me.

Dude, stop doing what you choose to do with your hard-earned money and, without question, listen to people who concern themselves more with how you spend your money than they do anything in their own lives.

I never picked up the PS3 version, so I may pick this up.

I loved FFX on PS2 but thought X-2 was terrible, so hopefully they are released as individual digital titles.

Jump on X-2. Seriously. Fantastic battle and skill systems, awesome OST that's to this day unlike any other SE soundtrack, and the best battle quotes around.

If you just have fun with it and don't take it so seriously coming off the drama of FFX, you might really love it. I know I do.

I can't breathe.

Ehhhhh... I probably wont triple dip since I'm not even done with the PS3 and Vita version of FFX and I haven't even started X-2 yet. Assuming this would run at 1080/60, I feel like 60fps wouldn't really be enough to get me to rebuy, especially considering it's a menu driven RPG. Now something a little more action oriented like KH? I'd definitely double dip for 60fps versions of those games.

With that being said, great option for those that decided to skip it on PS3.

A good idea, many Xbox 360 users who came over to PS4 will have missed out on this. Don't get why people are mad when everyone was happy that Naughty Dog did the exact same thing with TLOU.

It's definitely rough. Only thing it has going for it is the new lighting.

Honestly,I don't see how its rough.

Its pretty much as far as you can take a 4 year old PSP game.

Type-0's remaster is really good ,visually, for what it is.

But yeah it isn't worth the asking price.

Will buy again. My PS3 broke in the middle of my playthrough, this would be cheaper than getting it fixed.

While you're at it give me Kingdom Hearts as well.

I can't breathe.

Hahaha! Did you not see "I can't be happy for others getting an opportunity to experience a game for the first time because I have already played it" trending on Twitter? Derrick Rose even wore a shirt in support of the cause during pre-game warm-ups!

Skipped out on the ps3/vita versions, so this might actually warrant a purchase from me. Granted, Type-0 will come first, as i've yet to play that one.

As for FF12hd? I assume it's coming after the sales FF10 got, i'm thinking a E3 2015 revel, and a release sometime in 2016 to fill out the calendar before FF15's release.

I wouldn't be surprised if they are working on XII HD, since they said it would depend on how well X HD sold, and it sold well.

Besides enhancing the framerate, what else could be done ? I'd rather have a remaster of XII.

The only thing I could think of is an option to toggle between the original and remastered soundtrack. Aside from that, I can't think of much else. Even then, that really isn't much to entice current owners of the PS3/Vita version.

That would certainly be great. I still don't know why they didn't put the option in the PS3 game; they did that with IV on the PSP.

There is nothing that will be done, actually.

Not even 60 FPS.They won't do it.

The purpose of this port is just to make the game playable on a different platform. Not enhance it.

IIRC, it was actually going to be an option, but they ran into some sort of issue that prevented them from doing so.

But yeah, it'd be great I think the PSP version of III did the same thing as well, so they're not averse to the idea.
