I just got an email from Ubisoft with the link to redeem the free game. If you've previously bought the Unity Season Pass, check your inbox. Alternatively, copy-paste https://acu.ubi.com/ to your address bar or rightclick > open in new tab.

Quick guide on how it works:

1. Select the platform you bought the Season Pass for
2. Log-in using your Live/PSN or Uplay (PC) account
3. Accept some legal terms basically stating you can't sue Ubisoft anymore now (lol)
4. Select your game
5. The key for your game of choice will be sent to your email
6. Redeem said key like you would any other (Ubisoft guide)

For PC gamers: If you bought the Uplay version you receive an Uplay key, if you bought the Steam version you receive a Steam key.
For Germans (and probably some other nationalities): If some of the games are not selectable in your country (like Far Cry 4), use VPN.
(Remember to browse from a country that's within the same region-lock region! Example: Germans should select another Euro country. Otherwise you might receive the wrong key!)

If you want to sell your key, you can do so in the Buy/Sell/Trade thread.

As a reminder, here is the official info on the matter from the Ubisoft Offer FAQ .

If you purchased the Assassin’s Creed Unity Season Pass or Assassin’s Creed Unity Gold Edition (which includes the Season Pass), you are eligible to choose one free game from a select list of Ubisoft titles.*

Please note that the Season Pass needs to be redeemed in order for you to be recognized as eligible by the system. If you haven’t activated your Season Pass before November 25, a delay may occur to define your eligibility in our system.

The available Ubisoft titles are:

• The Crew
• Far Cry 4
• Watch Dogs
• Assassin’s Creed Black Flag
• Rayman Legends
• Just Dance 2015

Please note that the list may vary according to your country’s laws and regulations.

You had to buy the season pass though right? I imagine people who bought the game or beta if you will, at $60, but no season pass will be pissed still. It's already half the price and they played through a worse version of the game to boot.

Its going to be uPlay instead of Steam, isn't it... oh well, zero dollars is pretty much exactly what I was willing to spend at their store, so it works out.

Those who didn't buy the Season Pass will receive the major piece of DLC that was originally part of the Season Pass for free, thus the reason why Season Pass owners get an entire game for free to compensate.

Unless you're playing the PC version, then you get to deal with the stuttering and the downgraded graphics as well as the memory leak introduced by the recent patch.

This is kind of an odd thing to say because I actually created my uPlay account to get some random extras for AC2, ages before it became a store. I also got into Steam just because I wanted to play HL2. So... not saying it isn't a bit scummy but it seems par for the course to me.

In my case I actually pre-ordered The Crew on Steam, so I'd be begrudgingly okay with a Uplay key since my intention is to just sell it. A Steam key would be worth a bit more, though, seeing as the game is region-locked in all regions where it's notably cheaper than $60.

Of course not, just as apologizing for something does not right any wrong you might have done to somebody in real life. But what I'm saying is that I don't see people accepting the apology. In real life, apologizing might well earn you forgiveness. But here, people are going to take the free game and not forgive at all. Forgiveness only happens when people care about you in the first place or have some level of respect for you as a person. I don't see people caring about Ubisoft enough to forgive them.

So Ubisoft would have been better off not giving away hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of games since it probably wont make anymore of a difference than just simply saying sorry.
