Is Silent Hills a multiplatform title?

Depends on who is funding it. If it's Konami, then yep 100%, if Sony (and I'd be more likely to believe this is a possibility now than I would have pre-SFV) then I could see PS4+PC being a possibility.

Hard to say anything for sure yet though.

Well, it wasn't announced as a PS4 exclusive so it is probably multiplatform. If it was exclusive it would have been known at reveal.

Maybe Sony is planning on marketing it like they did with Diablo 3 and other games where the devs pretend that other versions don't exist.

If I ever post something in Japanese which I don't understand, please BAN me.
he's only an actor. he probably has no idea what's going into the game other than his lines and face.

So you're calling him a liar and he doesn't know about any "heavy stuff" in the game?

lol

PT seemed to imply exclusivity, but I think the game is likely so conceptual right now - Konami might not even know.

I would say it's a bit more then conceptual when you attach a movie director and a Hollywood actor to the project, create a main character and release a teaser demo. It's probably not in full blown production a of now, but. I would be surprised if they weren't getting ready to leave pre-production and aiming for a 2016 release.

The only problem is: this is basically a Kojima game.

And Kojima is basically a "Sony person", he does not care at all about other platforms.

So, regardless of the announced platforms there will be just ONE choice for it.

Imagine how hilarious it would be if it was announced as a Xbone exclusive. Not even a PC version.

Gaf would explode! Lol

probably multi-platform but fox engine xbone performance seems pretty spotty if ground zeroes is any indication

Even Metal Gear Solid is a multiplatform game these days. I can't think of many reasons as to why they would make Silent Hills exclusive. Most recent exclusives became that way through troubles with funding them, but with Del Toro and Kojima at the helm and P.T being a massive success I think this is seen as a safe investment.

Why was P.T. a PS4 exclusive anyways? Does Sony have like a no-cost for putting something on PSN anymore whereas other services still do? I think I heard something about that with indie games. That'd make sense as it was a free thing with no way of them making money off of.
If that were the case, it would have been cool if they had released a download for the game on PC.

If Sony doesn't have a deal in place, it's a multiplat.

Since Sony hasn't indicated that in any shape or form, I'm going to go ahead and say that it is.

So the MGS games being on PC doesn't mean anything?

Hopefully they make it clear soon. I rather not miss out on this game when I make a next gen purchase. Hopefully these deals hold up till then.
I wouldn't expect an announcement before E3 2015.

Based off what we've seen recently I wouldn't be surprised if this was a PS4 exclusive. It's possible Sony is funding the production which is why the teaser was released for the PS4 and announced during their press conference. Still to early to say for sure, but Sony did make a pretty big push for 3rd party console exclusives. Maybe it will hit PC too, who knows.

Why can't I find that .gif of Kojima stroking the GPU when I need it :(

The only reason I can ever see it being exclusive to PS4 is if Sony is funding it or doing a SCEJ x Konami collab on the title with Keiichiro Toyama :p

Seeing MGS and PES I don't think so. I also think given Fox Engine's ill fit on Xbone that will be the version to avoid if you can.

Guess I imagined his appearances at those Microsoft E3 conferences then.

I would be suprised if it was not multiplatt, but either way, the game is basically confirmed for PS4 due to the P.T. demo. Now we just wait for more info.

I'd be surprised if it wasn't multiplatform although I suppose going by PT there's a chance it might be timed exclusive on PS4. That would be unlikely though I'd have thought.

I think PT was a clever way to gain maximum association of title with PS4 vs Sony bidding for an actual timed exclusive and I suspect it probably has done so.
