Yes! I've been waiting for this thread to get posted...

Once I'm back home I'll get some pictures of my own in.

Reserving this spot!

These threads have been an amazing inspiration for me. Once I can get a decent camera, I'll post my setup!

The TV stand - Kare Bilbao

Nice set up! Are those speakers crazy ridiculously expensive or am I mistaking them for a similar looking speaker?

I hate the feeling of being jealous, but damn is it hard not being so when you looks at OP's pictures. Rich bastard! (with love)

You can do a lot of these things on the cheap. More than half my stuff is from Ikea, such as:

Info on that storage space for your games OP? Looks great.

This is a Billy Bookcase configuration from Ikea. Glass / White doors, black bookcase.

Your setup is OP, OP

Thanks :)

Annual look how much better my shit is than yours thread is a go.

Whole point of these threads is to create a community. Show off your stuff, sure, but also see everyone else's. I've gotten so much inspiration from what others have done here. Build up, not tear down enjay :)

I never understood this 'reserving' thing. Why not post when you actually have stuff to share? Is it like a 'FIRST!' thing to ensure a spot on page one?

It's such a weird thing that's becoming a strange trend of late. Very wacky.

Still working on it but this is currently my gaming setup
iSX21Vbs5NBa4.jpg

NES is the only console not hooked up and it will be replaced by a PS4 whenever I get one.
Genesis is hooked up with a scart to component adapter. Will eventually get scart cables for the Sega Saturn and Dreamcast as well.

This is my PC setup
imBP7YjK9Ebaz.jpg

Gamcube is a hollowed out shell that currently functions as a USB hub but I plan to also add some storage to it eventually. Orange power light glows when plugged into computer

And Yes I know my cord management is a TERRIBLE MESS
But until everything is 100% complete I'm not going to fix it as things will move around.
I still need to get a new computer desk as well as add lights to the gaming set up.

We should rename the thread. This isn't about gaming anymore, it's about lifestyle.

We used to have a show off your home and show off your gaming setup but it divided up the postings / community. This is the same kind of deal as the pick-up posts in gaming.

New year, same shit

Best bedroom ever :) You have what most people need a huge living room for in your bedroom and it's cleaner / organized better than those that have all that space. It's impressive.

Thread just started but some nice rooms and collection already, love it.

Don't know where it started but I don't like it at all.

No, that way I won't be able to post my setup this year :(

Your room was pretty sleek as well last year.
It's holding up perfectly actually. I haven't noticed any retention or dead pixels. I am a bit surprised to be honest heh, it felt like a very risky investment back then with OLED being so unproven.

Now I just want all the other displays in my life to be OLED as well, I don't see myself getting a new pc screen, or laptop without oled.
Thanks, good to hear. I feel you, going from plasma to LCD is a back step, can imagine that OLED to LCD is even bigger.

Well they list for $10k, but here (in scandinavia) there is pretty good second hand market for Bang&Olufsen and you can find them for $4-5k.

Mind you they are active speakers so you don't need to buy an amplifier. At the used price I think they are competitively priced when compared to high quality 3 way floorstanding speakers + amplifier.

They sound really really fucking good. I absolutely love them, one of the best investments I've ever made. Before chosing them I've had different gear for demo at home and these were the only ones I knew I had to keep.

New year, same shit

That's a really neat use of space. I roll around so much when I sleep, though, that if mine was like that, I'd break the TV in my sleep.

I don't have any good pictures of my set-up, which is pretty bland, but I'll have to try to get one. The lighting in my room sucks, though, and there are no windows. (Yep, it's illegal)

Dawg, we have the same mouse and keyboard and possibly monitor. is that the 16:10 UltraSharp?

love that keyboard, BTW. so compact and clean and really nicely priced next to other comparable options.

It's the Dell P2414H :D

And yes, love the keyboard ^^ Same goes for the mouse, really good price and my best mouse so far!

Annual look how much better my shit is than yours thread is a go.

That is a negative way to look at it. I dig these threads for the inspiration.
We all have in common that we prioritize our gaming machines quite a bit, which is reflected in how we furnish our homes or rooms. It's interesting to see how fellow GAFers go about it.

Here's my "setup"

ZxkHZel.png

4ocZhqA.png

JPup9Fs.png

It's extremely simple, but I love it. The screen is 100 inches. I tried to include the scale by including the door and its hinges on the right side of the photos. It's a massive screen, with great color.

Obviously, it's a 1080p projector. It's the venerable Epson 5030UB. The screen is a 100" 16x9 fixed frame Silver Ticket screen.

The projector is mounted in my living room on the back wall via a simple Ikea shelf. It's a ridiculously clean setup, with basically zero wires showing. It's the best bang for the buck by far, as 100" TV's are prohibitively expensive, not to mention the size/weight issues that would stem from such a behemoth.

Gaming, even in the day time with ambient light, is really good on this screen. I could personally never go back to a standard TV. It would be so hard to do that after experiencing such a massive screen on a regular basis. It is kinda lame to have a HUGE white rectangle on the wall 24/7 though, but it's something I'm willing to deal with.

B&O yeah. I wasn't sure if those were the $10k or more like $50k list price speakers. Nice! Glad you enjoy them. A fantastic set of speakers is a great thing to buy for your home.

That's awesome, you're giving your WiiU some serious love there, looks amazing.
I'm playing on an Epson (TW9200) projector too and it's definitely hard to go back to my 46" TV that's for sure, the colors aren't anywhere near what you're showing in your pics though unless I have the room pitch black but the size still make it so worth it.

Driveclub at 86 inches, this is why I still play some games on consoles, this pic don't make this game justice, it looks insanely good even blown up to this size
VIGN7BE.jpg

And the reason why I'm no longer playing multiplats on console, even with the smaller screen it's tough to go back to 25-30fps with tearing on console when you get 60+ fps G-synced on just about everything on the PC.

Edit: From later posts

Two more pics of my console setup, TV and projector comparison, with Driveclub looking good as always

Looks good! Nice to find a fellow projector owner :) I'll take more pics in the daytime later, it's too dark here to do it any justice, because I lack the adequate lighting needed.

Finally got my new house a couple weeks ago and decided to turn the spare bedroom into a theater/game room. Running a Benq W1070 with 125" screen, got all the consoles and a/v in side closet. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out, games look insane on a screen that size and of course Blu's are fantastic.

Very nice as well. I have a Benq1075 as a spare, and it's really good. Great projector to take on the go, due to the on board sound. Yes the sound is bad, but in a pinch it's a great thing to have.

Yay for my bad Moto G camera!

Xbox 360 with two controllers.
PS2 Slim not hooked up.
Turtle Beach X12 on top of the PS2.
Panasonic Region Free DVD Player next to the 360.
Panasonic Blu-Ray player underneath.
Loads of Iranian DVDs on the bottom two shelves.

I went with the BenQ w1070 due to the fact it's DLP and has low input lag, so it was a great middle ground between watching movies and playing games. Plus it's difficult to beat its performance at $640

I'm almost embarrassed to post after seeing some of these gorgeous setups, but here it goes GAF.

I'm not hating or anything but come on guys. Don't plaster posters on your walls without frames.
Especially when frames are dirt cheap and you have the cash. They improve the look so much.

OP I was just in Vancouver for the first time. Beautiful city. I went to that cineplex for Guardians of the Galaxy premiere!

How's the apartment pricing in downtown?
I really want to move to vancouver

Would honestly be against white consoles, but when you have the furniture to match it, no problem.

So much better than the original models.

Room needs a dusting, being black glass everywhere doesn't help it just shows it up.

TV is a 50" B650 Plasma, still going strong, calibrated it with a colour meter myself. Havent had a reason to upgrade it since it's always looked so good.
