Could be more if they were in stock. Hopefully they turn the factory dial up a bit.

I own 6 with another 5 preordered for wave 3. I've never seen 5 of the released line in stores ever.

No excuse not to up production then? lol.

I hope this means we get a good assortment for other series, namely Animal Crossing.

The production of Amiibos had been pitiful. Here in Australia, you can't find a single one in brick and mortar stores other than Pikachu or Mario. Where the hell is the supply to meet the obvious demand?

Two copies sold? That's not a bomb guys, stop trolling!!!
And this is with major shipment problems for rarer figurines.

Well, the only game that fully gets Amiibo on board is SSB and that came at the same time. Even now they have trouble with software integration of it, like with Captain Toad.

it's funny because even in Smash Bros, imo, amiibos are a lame gimmick

To be fair, I was kinda pessimistic, it was too late in my opinion.

Glad I was wrong then, never underestimate the brand power of Mario and co.

Good make more Marths. It's like someone at Nintendo was like "hey people collect these as trophies in game how about we make them actual physical objects so they can collect them in real life too!"

Genius. That guy was probably promoted.

And half of them are rare characters owned by that one nerd trying to spite fans of said characters, not realizing that him buying 100 Rosalinas will just send a signal to Nintendo to put Rosalina in more games

That's....honestly more than I expected from amiibo lol. Congratz to them for finding an alternative revenue stream.

Shhhh, let him continue to make a fool of himself.

Yes how very obvious it was when 4 or 5 months ago Nintendo was soaking up nothing but shade from almost every major video game site. I think there was a polygon editorial article that directly stated Smash Bros would bomb?

Yes, Nintendo the corporate mind readers they are, should have cooked up at least 20 million of an unproven and some what risky foray into stationary gaming toys

The profit margins on this thing should be massive (how much exactly we looking at?)

How long before the initial "collector spree" ends?

Cool, so Nintendo knows they're successful. Maybe they'll start making some of the rarer figures easier to obtain and I can finally start collecting 'em.

I think that was Mario Kart. But yeah, there was a lot skepticism about amiibo from people, myself included.

they could have made a ton of money if they actually primed amiibo to combat skylanders

instead we get amiibo three years after skylanders

lots of potential revenue squandered

Yo what on earth would be the launching pad for Amiibos 3 years ago? Nintendo land? Wii U has barely been out for 2. Let's be practical people
