Dragon's Dogma Online revealed - PS3/PS4/PC, MMO-ish, F2P, 4-player parties

I never thought about it but the online could actually be a good thing if its not online in the sense of an MMO. I was thinking an online mode where you go dungeon crawling with team mates.

Even if it's an MMO, while I'd prefer an evolution of the pawn system from the first game, I'll still be all over this. Best combat system in an RPG in ages. Incredibly fun to play from start to finish, never got old for me.

Bring it on Capcom!

Yeah MMO doesn't make sense for Dragons Dogma. Unless it was like, meet hunters in cities and gather 4-6 people and head out into the wilderness and dungeons together. Once you leave town you then warp to your " instance " without everyone else around.

Something like that I could see.

Just knowing its dragons dogma and online is enough to get excited. I will go nuts if it is some kind of mobile card game or some shit though lol.

Ono tweeted about deep down being dragons dogma 2 online? So Ps4 exclusive? Fuck ....

We'll get information in the next day or two. The article is not saying anything much. No platform no nothing.

Please don't be a F2P MMO/Mobile/Browser/Arcade game where you buy gimmicky cards and have boring rock/paper/scissor battles using monsters with other players online game!

Gah! I need to know more.

I wonder if it's f2p or just heavily online focused.

I think Deep Down is (or was) meant to fill that void. I feel like it's going to be one or the other. I don't see them doubling down (heh) without knowing one has been successful/profitable on its own.

Mmmmngh, that sounds like a remaster with online play.

This seems like a really, really big reveal. The teaser says that it's an online game where you can play with friends. It's also action based. There is a full 18 page preview in Famitsu, so that doesn't sound like a f2p mobile title to me. It's a full blow out with platform, specs, story, multiplayer system details, and developer interviews.

I feel like there's no way this isn't Deep Down. Having two seperate online games with similar combat and themes wouldn't make sense.

Wait, so those rumors may have been correct? I'm not sure how I feel about that.

It may be Ono tweeting it because it's a Capcom project, not that it is handled by him.
The guy bought Magazine is saying platform is indeed written in the actual article so we must wait a bit more.

Edit: Now with Kobayashi also tweeting about IMO it is the former not the later.

The hero Los Santos deserves
Remaster of Dragon's Dogma with online coop for 2-4 players would be amazing. But the title and Ono's tweet confuses me. Deep Down renamed?

This sounds good. Also holding my thumbs for PC. Really wanna play this with my friends as none in my gaming group plays console online.

Sigh, my girlfriend loves DD, but I won't give her the news about a new game until we get the bad news (or good, as improbable as it is).

My interest on this depends heavily on the platform(s) it will be released for. If it is a PS4 exclusive, then... meh. If it is on PC, then, you have my interest, Capcom.

It has a different name, for starters.

Deep Down doesn't even look that great. I'm not sure why anyone who's olayed Dragon's Dogma would as hellbent for Deep Down to be a sequel to it as some folks on GAF are. That game is an F2P cash grab they can't even get off the shelf.

I may have to take that day off from work.

I can't believe we might actually be getting a proper aequel to Dragon's Dogma with co-op/multiplayer.

Yeah, 18 pages is a pretty big spread in Famitsu. Dunno if I've ever seen one that big for an announcement of a mobile title, but the platforms will be announced when the magazine comes out, so not long to wait. Hope it's good!!

im pretty sure Deep Down is the project code name.

if it's another game, how would Capcom be developing so many at once when it can't even fund Street Fighter by itself?
