So none of those sequels are real? Since when did the internet become a place or tricks and lies, I used to trust you Mr Internet but now I'm starting to doubt all the facts I've learnt from listening to you.

And more importantly, why are those lies shitting up the Steam thread?

Humble Store has Schein 50% off for a week(-ish)

Rise of Incarnates will be released for Early Access this week. There's a free costume pack for those that sign up now for whoever's interested. Link on the pics.

The gameplay for this game is pretty badass. Plus the President of the United States is playable as seen in the video below. I love the cheese in this game.

This will not quench the thirst for the Vs games namco. NOTHING WILL

Any suggestions to get it to locked 30 FPS? Durante pls, we need your magic skills...

With Rivatuner (or nvidia inspector) you can use the framelimiter to lock games at whatever framerate you want. I just did and at least the experience feels somewhat better, though I'd prefer for the game to stay at 60 instead of 30. At least the devs are looking into why the performance are bad for some users.

As far as the game goes, I managed to get it to stay at 30 in the open world with 2x AA, DOF and Real Time GI OFF (have to always set this to off everytime you start the game), Bloom Strength and DOF Scale at 0, Motion Blur Strength at 5 and everything else at max setting.

It's quite the merry-go-round.

"But you got it for $5."
"This isn't about me. I don't care that I can't upgrade."

Silly Jase. You shouldn't have mentioned that at all. Once you did, it was inevitable that you'd be inundated by those type of posts, ignoring the meat of your point/post.

bruhs...sirloin burger in Naan bread...

go play Starbound!

I made that once. It was terrible. The flatbread quickly soaked up the juices and fell apart rather quickly. Putting 3-4 layers helped but by then you got an incredibly dense oily bread layer. Might as well just use normal buns.

Well 3 games down and only 3 bought this year so far. That's probably about my best finish to complete ratio is years. Just need to keep it up for 11 more months now, urgghhhhh.

the idea of putting cow meat in naan bread seems really offensive to me

You never had a Keema Naan? Obviously lamb isn't quite as sacred as a cow.

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.
So I finished Super Win the Game.

Alright I can't believe I've only just dipped my toes into this now but Raid mode in Revelations is awesome! Don't know if it will end up being as replayable as Mercs but definitely a hoot so far. Might even jump on Revelations 2 earlier than intended.

Well see above as to how long my ironclad will lasted.

It's get pretty boring after awhile when the grinding becomes a bit too much.

I can kind of see that there's is not too much variation and you will have to repeat the same levels over and over again to get better stuff but hey I detested Diablo III and I've still got 200+ hours clocked in that.

Though I think unlike Mercs in 4 & 5, which I find quite easy to blast through a few stages just for shits and giggles, I can see my interest waning after a while on Raid mode.

Hey I'm still 2 under the amount I said I'd buy. Granted there's about 8 or 9 things I want but we'll see how that pans out, ie poorly.

I'm pretty excited for Revelations 2 also. BARRRRRY!

Fingers crossed it's not tipped the balance in favour of microtransactions but we'll see.

Almost finished with my first Strider run, so then I decided to go back and collect as many of the hidden secrets as I could find. Now I forgot how to get back on track because the map layout is a mess and I'm having difficulty finding the correct route. Ugh, maybe I'll drop it for now and finish up REmake.

I did these tomb raider sliding bits perfectly the first time, this time, poor Lara's died like 50 times already on the same fucking piece of river.

Damn, Castlevania Lords of Shadow is just full of terrible design choices and constant aggravations. Just so much bone-headed stuff that I can't understand why the developer left it in and I've barely started the game.

- Boring as hell "platforming" sections that have zero variability or player agency (press up, hold left, tap RT, hold left, press jump, hold up). Tons of forced slow crawling and meaningless traversal

- The combination of path splitting and point-of-no-return cutscene triggering with a seriously spacially disorienting camera that makes it so you can't really tell which direction you are heading makes "exploration" a tedious chore of going down one path until you think it might be a cutscene, to then back track and go down the other path, then back again. Just awful, tedious mind numbing busywork that is compounded by the aforementioned shit "platforming".

- Inconsistent jumping mechanics that will invis-wall bump/slow you when trying to make key jumps.

-Cluttered geometry and set dressing that necessitates BIG FLASHING PLATFORMS to tell you what you can and can not walk/jump on

- Strange, weirdly difficult combat. Belmont gets oddly locked into his animations and can block or roll cancel out of most things, but only during certain parts of the animation. Swarms of enemies are rarely a problem but the big tough ones are: they have unblockable moves that have almost zero wind-up and hit hard. It also seems like there aren't really many (or any) i-frames on the dodge roll so you tend to have to dodge in the perfect direction to not take damage. The telegraph of the unblockable attacks is a flashing white section of the attack, but it happens on the attack not on the wind up, so you can't really tell when to block or dodge before it actually happens.

- Enemies that block, or dodge then immediately attack. This incentivizes singular attacks rather than any of the glut of combos that the game offers to you. Why have a decent, fleshed out combo system when using any of them will get you killed? Why would you create incentive to the player to play in the most boring way possible? The best way to play the game is to stay back, wait for the enemies to attack and then get a single hit in. Just awful, terrible combat design.

- Having to hold a button (with a delay before activation) to absorb orbs. Why would anyone do this? I'm assuming it's so that you can pick which magic bar the orbs go into, but there are so many better ways to do this.

- The bomb enemies have the weirdest design I've seen in a while: they throw bombs at you that explode on you if they hit you while in the air, but if they hit the ground before you, you can walk over and pick them up and throw them (to open doors and the like). Unfortunately, the same button to pick up the bombs is the same button to use your chain like a Scorpion spear on an enemy, so every time you go to grab one, you'll lasso an enemy over, punch a bomb out of him, then when you try to pick THAT bomb up, you'll lasso another enemy and punch a bomb out of him, and so on until they stop spawning. Like...was this play tested at all? Also, fuck the visual and audio design of the bombs...they are impossible to see/know when they exist. I couldn't imagine what it would be like on a PS3 at 720p with a blur filter on it.

- And the biggest crime of all: CHECKPOINTS BEFORE UNSKIPPABLE CUTSCENES AND TERRIBLE AUTO-PLATFORMING. Like...okay, have a hard/cheap fight against a greater lycanthrope after doing a brain dead 3 minute, no-fail wall crawling session, and pointless camera swooping visual intro to a fucking cave, but don't put the checkpoint BEFORE all of that shit...but it after, so I can die and die and die again and just keep banging my head against your cheap fight instead of wondering if I should ever play your terrible game again (20 more hours of this...hmmmm) and go on GAF and tell as many people as possible why your game is terrible.

Like, just why? The designers who made this shit had to play through it over and over and over again. Did they think it was a good idea? Were they hamstrung by console memory limitations? Did they think they were making it "challenging" by making it a challenge to have fun?

God damn.

I saw that spike through the neck death animation waaay too many time. Should have called it Torture Porn Raider though that doesn't make lick of sense but then again neither does Tomb Raider as she didn't do much of that either.

Like all Mercury Steam games, the design is dogshit and the gameplay is just no fun at all.
