NPD Sales Results for January 2015 [PS4 #1, Nintendo Numbers, XB1 Minimum]

sony will win feb/march no problem its just by how much and how much traction order and bloodborne get

Correct. But not being up for GOTY doens't mean they're bad. In that thread, I'm pretty sure I specified why I thought what I thought about certain titles (including looking at previous titles in the series, they way they were coming along, etc). That's the thing about making prediction months out, I could very well (and likely) end up being wrong. There's plenty of Ps4 titles that I feel have no shot at getting that high a praise (really, the only ones that come to mind are UC4 and Persona 5).

The next TR could absolutely blow us all away, QB could be a revolutionary title, Halo 5 could be a masterpiece that undoes all the damage 343 has done. You get what I mean? When I say that I think a game won't be a system seller, or that it won't be GOTY, it doesn't mean I don't like it. Heck, SO last year didn't sell great, didn't receive any GOTYs, and it probably didn't move many systems yet I friggen loved the game so much that I bought the White bundle. I did the same for the Wii U with Wonderful 101 and Bayo 2, and one of the reasons I got a PS4 at launch was Second Son which also ended up getting little to no recognition GOTY wise.


Also, either the PSV did really, really well or the 3DS just had a horrible month... probably the latter.

Not bad at all since it doesn't release until May. I think it will do much more than Dragon Age at launch.
It will be interesting to see how much The Order opens with. It could possibly do 500k+. That would be remarkable considering all the negative press it recieved.

Hey man I've played at least 10 games this year where I can vault over a zombie, land on another killing them and then baseball slide a group of zombies nearby. That market is oversaturted :p

Of course I get what you mean, that was my whole argument in that thread. I have a strong feeling Halo, RotTR and QB are going to blow people away.

Still, people want to argue track records and such. To me, CD reminds me a lot of ND during Uncharted 1. The leap to UC2 was incredible, and I totally want and expect to see that leap in quality.

Anyways, we're veering off topic, lets agree to disagree or to be neutral and move on.

Mentioning percentages and stuff like that I guess, I don't follow NPD threads too closely, I usually enter, read stuff to get an idea and that's it.
