Mario Party 10: official JP website launched

Nintendo has opened the official website for Mario Party 10 in Japan. You'll find it there!

Game requires 3.5GB of free space.
1 to 5 players.
1 save date per user, 35MB per save.
Miiverse integration, used in one puzzle apparently (might need someone to help translate that bit).
Playable with Wiimote and GamePad.
Compatible with amiibo ( Mario, Luigi, Peach, Yoshi, Toad, Bowser, Donkey Kong, Rosalina,, Wario), unclocking some special boards based on those characters.

Is there a way to play Mario Party without rolling dices, just playing mini games in a playlist?

Woaahh looking really good! Love the new artwork. I'm not that much into Mario Party games but who knows maybe I will get the MP Bundle with Mario amiibo just because.

I really hope this Mario party brings the series back to the golden age cause mp has sucked so bad lately.

This. I recently tried to give Mario Party 9 another shot but that whole riding together in a car mechanic is terrible. The game no longer even feels slightly strategic.

Ok, that artwork looks extremely good, I'm forced to buy it...

Anybody knows if the game will require Wiimote Plus, or can we use regular Wiimotes?
Also, does it have online?

The Wii U gamepad means the controller with the touch screen. The whole game is designed with one person having their own screen and being able to be Bowser so the chances of Pro and Classic is slim to none.

This game is going to get me to buy Amiibos I had no interest in getting. At least the Mario ones should be plentiful enough for an eventual B2G1 sale.

I have Donkey Kong and was only going to get Mario, Toad, Wario and Yoshi. Bowser's Smash Amiibo does looks pretty good though. Where are you Amiibo cards?

I don't care for the enemy characters in this and other Mario spinoffs. Give me more names characters like Donkey Kong or the Koopalings in Mario Kart 8. With that said this roster is pretty heavy on humans with Rosalina's addition. Glad to see four females but would love Dixie or Birdo as well.

Yup. I like what I've seen of the Super Mario series so far - nice, traditional designs and poses, compared to the Smash versions - and if the DK, Wario and Rosalina designs here do turn up as Amiibo I'll be happy with them.

I suspect anyone collecting Amiibo now should be looking at Nintendo's 3DS/Wii U release calendar for hints as to which figures are likely to get a rerelease and collect accordingly - i.e. a character like Rosalina looks likely now to get more stock or a reprint, whereas the chances of regular restocks of Captain Falcon or Ness are far, far smaller.

This game has three modes:
-MP9-style car mode
-4v1 mode with Bowser on the gamepad
-Amiibo mode which uses traditional movement mechanics but is limited to those hokey featureless boards you see in the pictures

Yeah, I know that. My hope was that they move away from these aweful Wiimote games which were in the Wii version of Mario Party (worst Mario Party to date) and so I thought maybe the other players can at least use a regular gamepad.

... so no Mario Party this gen. :(

Kinda looking forward to this though will probably wait to see how it is received. Played the original Mario Party and the DS version as well as 8 for Wii. My family tends to like Wii Party U as well even though your level of skill has basically no bearing on who wins... thinking about it perhaps that's why they like it.

I personally liked MP9 way more thatn 8. it's not that the car mechanic ruins the game on its own. imho. btw..

this.
to me the game offers a good mix of mechanics.
of course still no online makes some people sad.
personally, I'd not be interested in that mode, cause I play almost always offline, and the three modes are interesting imho.
I've tried the Bowser mode during a fair, and I really liked it.

It's 2015 and this game has fewer characters than Mario Party 8, fewer boards, no online play, the car mechanics that the fanbase doesn't like, and content locked behind an amiibo pay wall. Do they expect this to drive Wii U sales?

Friggin' Spike over Birdo? Heck, I don't know why they wouldn't just put both in. Has Birdo even been playable for any Wii U games at all?

1 vs 4 looks limited as expected. Was really hoping for some secret 8-player mode but I should've kept those expectations low.

How does it have fewer boards. Don't Mario Party's have 6 boards normally? I mean this game does have a variety of ways to play with Bowser mode and Amiibo mode.

I personally like the way they are making this game with all the different modes. I'll have a couple of compatible Amiibos so I'm good.

I'm looking forward to this and the amiibo function. Also those special edition wiimotes look rad. Wish I didn't already have five.

Heck they already revealed Toadette and spike anyway.

Wow, I love the Bowser/Toad wiimotes. Definitely going to pick those up.

I haven't played a Mario Party game since the Gamecube days, and I really hate the sound of the everyone-in-one-car mode, but I'm probably going to pick this up anyway to add into the WiiU couch multiplayer rotation. The Bowser Party asymmetric gameplay must be great, right? The Mario Chase and Luigi's Mansion games in Nintendoland still get played regularly at my house.
