ULTROS!

People seem to like me because I am polite and I am rarely late. I like to eat ice cream and I really enjoy a nice pair of slacks.
...Why would you expect a Wii release in 2015?

Anything can happen. I mean we did get Sakura Wars: So Long, My Love in English in 2010 for the PS2. :p

I find it bizzare that any of you thought theyd waste their time bringingthe wii version.

Honestly, I'm stunned it's getting localized at all and will be shocked if it does well. It seems like it'd be a niche game regardless of system install base. The wii version is only even being distributed in japan as a bonus to the wiiu version, right? Some kind of first-print-run bonus here or something didn't seem to be impossible.

Oh snap, Wii game is in.
I'll get that and the 3DS game for sure.

If they sell the Wii game standalone for a cheaper price, that'd be great.
Really do not need this on Wii U.

Wii version plays/controls differently and is included in the Wii U box in Japan. It's the only version that was supervised directly by Yuji Naka

That said I guess it's not surprising that they did not spend the extra effort to translate it. They probably only included the original Wii version in Japan because it was near-free.

Seriously could someone explain why the Wii version is apparently superior? Can't imagine preferring a Wii version of...anything. Maybe over 3DS I guess but not Wii U. What did they break?

I think the point is, we don't know, and therefore it's cool that we might have both options. The game was designed for the Wii, so it makes sense people would prefer to play the original vision of the game.

Same, I don't understand at all. It's like asking for the Wii U version to bomb if it plays better.

I'm in such a weird position. First, I hardly know anything about this game, but if it turns out I end up wanting it... I want the 3DS version, as it's my favorite platform, but being a touchscreen game I think it'd play better on WiiU... but I want the Wii version because, really, it's going to be super rare. Decisions.

it sounds like the Wii U version is a port of the 3DS version (or something like that) rather than being based on the Wii version, though?

I'm looking at NISA's press documents (fact sheet, screenshots, trailers, etc.) for this game right now and there's 0 mention of a Wii version. You'd think that would be something they'd mention ...

Front page only shows Wii U and 3DS at the bottom but it shows Wii under Platforms...Honestly it would be best if it was a Pre-Order bonus or included with Wii U release.
I'm guessing that's what's happening. They won't sell the Wii version standalone, but they are still bringing it.

Releasing the Wii version might not be quite so nuts an idea, there's still millions and millions of Wii systems out there and almost nothing being released (i assume the only other Wii retail releases this year will be fifa, just dance and skylanders), it probably could pick up a few sales especially at Christmas

Woah, the regular Wii version too? That's awesome if it really does release as an actual Wii disc, I definitely want to play this on the Wii. Why in the world wouldn't the Wii U version have both gamepad or Wiimote control support options, though? That makes no sense!

What's the difference between the Wii and Wii U versions?

The Wii U and 3DS game is a “sky adventure” while the original Wii project is “flying action”. Comparing things on another level, the Wii version is “pure action” while Wii U has added “growth” elements.

Sounds like the original was a more pure Nights-like game (score/attack-focused) while the new version added RPG elements and probably more exploration.
