And an actual review by TFTcentral, not a few subjective impressions sold as a review :p

For me, this is basically the perfect monitor for all of gaming, entertainment and work, except for the contrast ratio.
1050:1 is at the top end for IPS, so good news in that regard, but that's still rather shitty in the grand scheme of things.
I want a VA version now.

Response times with "normal" overdrive at 144 Hz are a thing of beauty, and with basically no overshoot at all. Those results would be great for a TN, but for an IPS they are amazing.

Seriously, these are some of the best results I've ever seen on any LCD monitor regardless of panel type.

Read this earlier. Much of the analysis goes over my head, but I think the gist of it was basically 'best gaming monitor ever'. And amazing that they actually preferred the response times of this to the TN-equipped RoG Swift.

I get the feeling a bit that monitor manufacturers never even really tried before NV showed them that there is a market for high-end gaming-focused monitors.

I've been looking for a gaming monitor - this looks like a really great (if pricey) product. Shame the monitor isn't released yet.

That monitor looks amazing. I want to impulse buy it right away, but the only Swedish online retailer that lists it says it will come in 2015-03-30. I would be crushed if Eizo announced a VA g-sync before that, so I guess I will wait with pre-ordering.

Goddamn that's good. I really want to grab one of these, but I'm trying to upgrade my GPU this year too, so it's either this or that.

That can't be right!... Can it? Fastest tn monitors are usually tested at around 5ms. Never knew one that claimed sub 1 ms!

Now I've just got to sell off my ROG Swift and upgrade... or maybe wait further for one that's FreeSync compatible too, sometimes the GSync flicker is annoying

goodness, what kind of contact from below did they have to design to make something so magnificient. It's going to cost a pretty penny but good IPS (up until recently) always has, so that's fine by me.

Not sure if I need to upgrade since everything I want to play is stunningly low tech this year, but wow those numbers. Amazing.

This could be my next monitor. Are there any announced VA monitors in this class? (1440p/144hz/g-sync?) Overall we just need more of these kinds of monitors in the market so we get some better pricing.

No. It makes for deeper blacks and a general deeper image. Its a good thing.

Just processing time. Response time was still 2.75ms, so total lag is 3ms. Which is still absolutely fantastic.

Yes, the 0.25 ms is just processing lag. Still, considering the absolutely magnificient job this monitor does at controlling overdrive (on the "normal" setting) I think it's extremely impressive.

I get this impression as well sometimes...

But yeah, this monitor is pretty damn ridiculous. I have been on an old ASUS VG236H for almost 5 years now. The upgrade will come probably sooner than later... and I hope monitors like this are more common in about 1 year or so.

$780 / E690 in Poland yeah, thanks but no thanks, especially as it is 1440p.

I would love to have IPS GSync monitor, but cant justify such a high price :( Maybe in future.

please make this the norm for pc gaming. we've been stuck at console level displays for years. someone needs to shock the system a bit and get us some better resolution screens.

I've been excited for this monitor since release. The only glaring issue is the lack of an internal upscaler which essentially means no console use.

The review describes this issue is down to the internal gsync module.

I was somewhat hoping to hook a XRGB framemeister up and seeing what an SNES game looks when displayed on a IPS panel.

I have a 1440p monitor with no internal upscaler and I use it for consoles.

Admittedly, the solution (a low-latency capture card and the right software) is a bit complex and rather costly, but it has nice benefits (e.g. running in a window, screenshots/video capture, alt-tab, postprocessing, full control over scaling, hell even the steam overlay over your console games if you want :p).

Only has displayport anyways, so this is basically a PC-only monitor.

And I know very few people care, but I'm surprised this doesn't have 3D like the Swift does. I'd personally enjoy messing around with it in certain games. I've heard it can be quite good.

The G-Sync module does not feature a scaler. The display is designed to be used with a GPU, which is expected to perform any scaling required.
I believe there is now one G-Sync monitor available (BenQ's XL2420G) that features a G-Sync module and a traditional scaler chip. This gives you more connectivity options.

Very nice looking monitor, I'm currently running dual 120hz 27" korean knock offs but want to upgrade sometime this year to gSync.

The one that really has my eye is the announced Acer Predator XR341CK - 34" curved screen 3440x1440 with 144hz gSync. No clue what the price is going to be though :(

Hmm, this might be a nice upgrade from my current HP IPS, though IPS glow has gotten more and more annoying to me over the years - that and I anticipate needing to buy at least two VR solutions in the next two years.

Personal takeaways:

Insanely low processing and response times. It was the only sore point about the Eizo Foris and they smashed my expectations by having better latency than TN panels. It's totally nuts.

I think I'm going to prefer using extreme overdrive instead of normal if I have stable 60 fps and lower performance. The image is a lot sharper that the slight ghosting that will occur seems preferable to the slight blur that will be present with normal overdrive.

I'm surprised ULMB only works for 85 and 100 hz settings. It's what I would've been running in the first place but this will disappoint quite a few people looking for the ultimate lightboost/ulmb solution.

I will be preordering this as soon as a US outlet has it.

To give people who don't follow this an idea of why I am so happy looking at that image, here's what's pretty much the best state of the art in IPS panels up to now (Dell U2515H):
