I hope it gets renewed. I'm quite enjoying it. Like the casting. I wasn't sure about Cole at first, but he's grown on me. And Cassie is hot.

Any idea what the implications of this week's episode is? I'm not sure which direction the story is heading at the moment?

I got the impression that they're setting up Cole as the origin of the virus.

Yeah that editing was not subtle as to who that skeleton belonged to-cole or another traveler.

I like the pace of this show, already done with night room and only took a few episodes. Contrast lost hatch, walking dead farm etc.

Initially I thought it was Cole because of how much he was wincing, but not I think that was just because he was about to travel back.

I guess the tall man in black was one of the past time travellers that 'failed'? When katarina was telling Cole's friend about how cole was not the first one that they sent back time, the scene abruptly shifted to that of the tall man in black

I actually hadn't thought of that.

Did anyone else think we were about to ditch the future when that guy invaded the base? Using that set has to be expensive, right?

Yup i thought so too. I loved how the second half of that episode unfolded with cole infiltrating the base. I did not see that coming at all.

The acting on this show has been on point. Even the guy who plays Ramse has elevated his game from his past work.

The only part of the episode that bugged me was calling the leader the Witness. That's some corny writing.

I was watching it slightly drunk last night and I was tired, was it not more explicit than that and one of the pictures actually have what seemed to be the tall man laughing in bandages on the time travel chair?

Probably imagining things.

I forgot to sub to this OT when I first saw it. This is officially the longest I've stuck with a show on SyFy since the re-branding and probably years before that. Great cast, good acting and I think I love Jennifer's crazy ass.

I got the impression that they're setting up Cole as the origin of the virus.

Same but yeah it could've just been a side effect of his about to go back along with changing his present or it could've been all of it, Jennifer's comment about there being something about its eyes also made me wonder.

If it is his younger self, you might be right. Will need to replay that scene tonight.

Meh. My least favourite episode so far. the alternate reality universe seemed like an afterthought, and the rescue itself was quite underwhelming

yeah that was all pretty weak. only served to get the ex in the group and show that time isn't fixed at all. I would have preferred that have been the cliffhanger at the end of the season

Watched latest ep - solid. Not amazing this week but theres a lot to be said for having a solid time travel sci-fi show on air so I'll take it where I can.

Any word in terms of likelihood of renewal / ratings holding up? I'm assuming this is a 12 ep run yes?

EDIT: Ah, Wiki says 13 in this run

Not sure, but I wonder how they would even keep it going if it was renewed. There is only a single goal in this show, which is save the future, and I'm not sure how interesting this show will be if every finale is "almost" saving the future for 5 seasons.

I feel the same way. It's good now but it will surely get tired if they try to drag it on.

I was really hoping the alternate timeline was going to be more than a throwaway, could definitely have been an interesting storyline.

I don't think that was the last we saw of it. It looks like all it takes is for Cass to be in danger for a version of that time period to make a return.

It's one of the few ways I can see the show lasting a few seasons. Half of the show is talking about either Cole slowly dying or the immediacy of things.

I really like the show, I'm just nervous they are going to run it into the ground, but whatever, it's still the first season, just enjoy it!

Oh I agree. I hate overkill. Its just in sci-fi terms its been a while since Ive been interested in the characters and actors of a show. I think it kinda helped that my expectations were in the toilet since the movie was awesome and Syfy generally arent.

I dont want a rambling Lost style situation where padding is frequent but equally I dont want this to be a one off mini series.

Great episode- but the timelines were abit of a mindfuck this week. If Cole dies when the bunker got bombed, doesn;t that imply that he should not appear in the timeline post the final scence with Cassie? ie the moment where he splintered just before the credits

Technically yes, but the trailer for next week seems to suggest they're looking to pull a Cole from the past. It hurt my brain just typing that sentence.

Just caught this weeks ep. This is a really quite good show. Rough around the edges but very solid. I truly hope they wrap it up well with episode 13 - I've loved too many shows that end on a cliffhanger or so / so ending as regards to a series finale and don't get renewed.

Why? I watch it on cable that I pay for.

Odds are your individual view isn't actually counted (unless you DVR it and watch it that night, watch ondemand, or have a Nielsen box.). Buying the show with extra cash also establishes that there is a monetary value beyond ad revenue worth keeping the show around.

Granted, that only works if a sizable portion buys the season.

The show is great so far, but i really hope that they got a plan rather than make shit up as show goes on

I feel the next 2 episodes will make or break this show for a lot of people who are watching it now. They really have to go into some detail about the time mechanics because as one review pointed out they seem to be using 2 incompatible theories.

Don't back them into a corner or else we'll end up with "ALIENS" as an explanation. :D

meh, that doesn't seem to be my fault if the industry is stlll intent on using shitty nielsen ratings for their success. They should come out of the stone age when it comes to viewership tracking, i watch every single show on my Tivo, they should be able to easily get viewership data.

I enjoy the show, i'd like to see it go on, but i dont enjoy any show that i watch on TV enough to actually pay for it, thats why i have cable.

the last moments in that last episode, just amazing, they had to keep their cool so what happened a week earlier, would still happen

mind boggling

Last nights ep...hmm. I like the show. Ill give it a pass for how
Cole survived
obviously. Always nice to see George Mason surviving his radiation poisioning and nuclear incineration.

Shame there doesnt seem to be much interest for the show on GAF

magically surviving the airstrike is I think the most annoying thing I've seen thus far.

I liked that we saw that there was some form of civilization outside of the bunker, but the whole Ramse/gf//child plot made me think-here we go again, another sci-fi show burdened by a family angle. Suddenly ramse has an incentive to not change the past. ugh. no thanks.

how many episodes are left in the season?

Wikipedia says 13 episode season.

Hmm, so that general guy found a cure for an old mutation of the virus? Why not send back the cure to the beginning of the outbreak?
IIRC his cure is for the 2033 strain that killed his wife, it wouldn't be effective on the 2015 strain or the current strain.

Maybe if the show gets renewed for another season, they'll go back in time and save everyone at the facility so the coup doesn't occur.

Percy! How many more Nikita alumni will show up before this series ends?!

He's immune, so one would assume not a carrier?

Aren't there people who are immune to viruses who are also carriers? ( ie: Typhoid Mary)
You'd think if Cole was exposed to it he'd be a carrier at this point.
