Dead or Alive 5 Last Round PC Information is Finally out

Thanks to Neogaf user Scrub Mcgrubb for the information

Dead or Alive 5 Last Round Steam Info was finally posted-

http://www.gamecity.ne.jp/doa5/lastround/info_steam_spec.html

No soft engine
PS3 ver particle effects
Extra stages not included
They did include the new hairs
4K support
Online still not coming for another 3 months

minimum specs are also pretty beefy... probably unoptimized. No wonder they waited until 2 weeks before release to finally speak up.

The full specs are listed on this website http://www.gamecity.ne.jp/doa5/lastround/info_steam_spec.html

"probably unoptimized" doesn't sound too good if you ask me. And online is not coming for another 3 months? What the heck is going on at Tecmo?

...well...at least...they tried...? What did they do, port the PS3 version instead of the x86 version for Xbone and PS4? I don't even know how this could have happened.

Well I mean this was obvious they would do this, they NEVER port the next gen versions of their console games to PC, only PS3 and Xbox 360 versions...Why? Unno, for reasons?

Are they intentionally botching this or what? Why in the world are they porting the PS3 version instead of the PS4 version? Why would you launch an fighting game on PC WITHOUT online?

Maybe they think majority of people still use outdated bottom of the barrel dx9 hardware or something. Porting from PS3 and not XB1 is pretty bizarre thing to do

Shame, it would sell better for sure

Wow, what a shame.
At least it'll have 4K, anti-aliasing, and PS4 shadows, but the rest is pretty terrible.
That's basically an enhanced PS3 port, and sadly not that surprising.

Well, truth to be told, PS4 version, except for the two stages and soft engine, was a PS3 version.

It seems like they're porting the raw arcade version of Ultimate which was using an i3 and Geforce GT545 then add the Last Round upgrades in. It's the only way I can fathom some of the omissions.

The best thing is that when this piece of garbage doesn't sell on PC, they'll use that as the reason why DOA6 doesn't come. Goddamn morons.

These are just resolution enhancements that are basic features of the engine (change the number), so there's nothing "PS4" about them. ;) DOA4 had MSAA enabled, so nothing surprising. The character selection screen for DOA5 actually uses 2xMSAA on consoles (ps360 included).

This is essentially DOA5U Arcade with the extra Last Round characters & costumes added to the data folder.

Haha what a piece of shit version. Thank God I only spent $12 on it for my girlfriend, I'll be sure to never grab it myself.

Now I wait for Sega to save me from this crap with Virtua Fighter. One day, maybe.

How is this not the next gen version? The next gen platforms are supposed to be closer to PC's than the old platforms aren't they? And even then the next gen versions barely got any visual improvements even with considering the resolution boost.

I guess that makes some sense, still awful for players though. Modding is the least of their worries as far as their reputation on PC is concerned.

I don't really care about soft body physics but i'm really curious about how it will perform. If it performs fine, and the online will work, i can deal with it (ill mostly play locally anyway).

They way they handled it is still disgraceful though. Sadly my PS3 died recently and i have no plans to get a PS4 anytime soon, so this will be my only option to play :(

To be fair the PS4 version looks like a PS3 game

not excusing them but lol

It is a ps3 game.

The PS4/XB1 versions have more stages and features than the last gen versions, though. These are missing from the port.

Online will be ass. Just like the console versions.

They don't want mods, but they clearly want the community to fix their lazy port, and to think I waited for the PC version :/

They fucked it up again lol. Don't give Koei your money PC guys.

4K support is nice and i'd love to see screens(that definitely eliminated all the jaggies), but not of the effing PS3 version dammit.

Also it seems like they just ported the PS3 version's code straight to PC with really no real optimization whatsoever. "PC guys have powerful computers so they can just brute force it, no biggie right?"

Atleast they added AA option/s in the PC release. FXAA?
