So hyped.

I'm curious about the "son" title.

Also curious about who the VA is.

I will send a small bag of swag to the first person who figures out who both the character (who has appeared previously in fiction quite a long time ago) and the voice actor are (much easier for Steampunk haters).

Can we name a character who would hold each of these perspectives of MC?

Son
Abductee
Victim
Orphan
Recruit
Soldier
Warrior
Ally
Hero
Savior
Traitor

Obviously "Traitor" is Locke's perspective. "Ally" would probably be the Arbiter's. "Warrior" could be any Covenant antagonist.

I think it's just in chronological order of cheifs life.

Perhaps Halsey would call him "Son"

-Parents, who I don't think we've ever met, other than maybe an anonymous moment in Fall of Reach.
-Halsey
-Keyes
-Other kids? Maybe even himself.
-Mendez
-Soldier (not sure. Maybe those ODSTs he wrecked.)
-Covenant
-Arbiter
-Marines
-Humanity
-Locke

Ok, that Latin text... trying to understand it now.

You talking about the Lorem Ipsum text on the test site? That's nothing. Lorem ipsum has been used for ages to test typesets and whatnot. It's just generic filler.

Edit: Took too long haha. But yeah, I can tell you 100% that it has nothing to do with anything. Ignore it.

Is this the same dude that was in Second Sunrise over New Mombasa? ONI photographer or something.

I don't have a chance in hell at figuring out the VA, sorry.

Yeah, I've already arrived to that conclusion.

So is Locke's armor brown or blue? It looks brown in just about every piece of media, but in the Halo 2 Anniversary bonus cutscene and that promo image it totally looks blue.

That's Lorem Ipsum. It's standard filler text that designers use. It's nothing that has to do with Halo. Google it.

That's what I was thinking, book was way too long ago to remember his name!

He isn't named, I'm pretty sure.

He gets a message about the Ark or something, then gives it to a little girl.

The character is the reporter from Second Sunrise over New Mombasa in the graphic novel, (his last name is a reference to Jean "Moebius" Giraud), but the VA... no clue.

edit: oh, I see I've been well beaten on this.

Voice actor sounds like Keegan Michael Keyes and the character seems like the ONI photographer from one of the old graphic novels. I don't think he had a name though?

EDIT: Yup looks like he was just referenced as a ONI Photographer.

Second Sunrise Over New Mombasa is the fourth and last story in the Halo Graphic Novel. Illustrated by Jean "Moebius" Giraud, the visual style of the comic is heavily stylized, deviating excessively from the common aesthetics of the Halo games.

The entire story is a flashback told after the initial Covenant invasion on the city of New Mombasa during the Battle of Earth on October 20, 2552, before the arrival of UNSC reinforcements later in the day.

The protagonist travels on a monorail train arriving at New Mombasa. He explains that his job is to edit and manipulate images coming from all over UNSC space and make them more "digestible" for the public to watch. He says his employers are making him rich, though he doesn't even know who he is working for. He feels both proud and guilty, because he is helping to hide the truth about how mankind is losing the war against the Covenant. He describes Mombasa as a cosmopolitan city before the Covenant attack. He remembers when his friends and families thought he was working on a new campaign for the Civilian Warthog, but in reality was being put under pressure by his employers and his job was getting harder and harder, due to the continuous UNSC defeats.

Journalist. War photographer.

For decades, I’ve served the galaxy as a journalist and war photographer. I’ve covered human-interest stories on Earth and in the Inner and Outer Colonies. I’ve also contracted for the government, covering military affairs. I was at New Mombasa when the Master Chief first appeared to combat the Covenant attack.

His wikipedia page mentions he's injured during the attack on New Mombasa. Could that be where the second recording comes into play? Whoever that person is they sound pretty fucked.
