Is
Cainhurst Castle
not probably the coolest part of the game?

I think I did pretty well today. Defeated 4 more bosses. I don't think I'm too far off from finishing the game.

Inside design is just amazing. I loved it. Outside is good but not that great.

Had some fun doing bloodborne stylish dancing during battle using the Spotify app and gestures last night. Epic songs like barbie girl, hey mickey you're so fine.

Pretty fun Dodging enemy attacks whilst dancing with gestures to camp music

I saw last night before bed they have a dupe items bug in the game. How does someone even figure this stuff out?

o_O at people losing 100k + echoes. I lost 13,000 last night and had my head in my hands.

Beat Father G on the 5th attempt - the first 3 times were me being terrible, the 4th I had my strategy and mucked it up, last time DOWN YOU GO.

If anyone is interested/needs help:
Equip a long weapon (I used the two handed axe). From the fog gate, run straight to the first collection of gravestones. Let Father G circle to one side, you stay on the other. Smack him with your charge attack through the gravestones and just keep circling out the way if he comes round to your side. You can chip off all of his health to beast mode quickly and easily this way. Then once he hits beast mode, lob a couple of molotovs at him, job done.
Easy!

In the Cathedral Ward now. Have the door available for
Old Yarnham
, but I bought the
emblem key
instead for 10,000 echoes so I'm busy mucking around in the central Cathedral circle courtyard place. No idea if thats the right place to be, but thats just one of the many reasons I love this game.

Had to stop last night after losing my echoes though, when I get tired I start dying to real easy low level guys as my concentration fades and I get sloppy.

The enemies are so good too. I met a new type last night, just the one.
Basically humanoid, he had small squid tentacles for most of his face and didn't seem to hard too take down, but then once I let him get too close and a giant brain sucking transparent milky tube sprouted out his head and latched on to my face
and I was all like YE GODS THE HORROR.

Amazing game. Addictive. Beautiful. Intelligent.

Oh shit just found out that the number of messengers around a lamp is how many people are in that area... I'll be damned.

Do you have a link or more info about this? Seems like a really good way to know what you're chances of getting a co-op game are. Right now I''m struggling to get games in NG+. Though that could be that there are still alot of people working towards it too though

I've been testing it out and it and in my short time in Yharnam Ive noticed:

-I think 1 person gets 2 messengers to represent them. They seemed to be grouped in 2's.

- In cathedral ward atm in my game there would be 4 people if thats how it works. I go to central Yharnam, again by that logic there are 4 people there. So is that a coincidence? Is it counting all of Yharnam as an area.

- Conversely I go the lantern after BSB and there are no messengers. This would make sense as that lantern is sort of in and out. Though with that said ringing my resonant bell out the front has gotten me a couple of games

So I'm curious to know mostly just how much of the area is covered by that representation?

On second playthrough, defeated 4 bosses so far. Even though I have the two NPCs at the locations where you can send villagers to, when I talk to the villagers the option to send them is always "no". I forget what's the trigger to be able to send them to safe havens.

I am sure i read somewhere that you can miss something if you kill
Rom
before finishing a certain chalice ? Any one remember anything about this or something along those lines ?

Seeing the
Shadows of
Yharnam for the first time was one of the best moments I've had this gen, just walking around exploring and all of a sudden
three bosses
walk out of the misty fog. Felt like I was in a western/samurai movie lol

Have you spoke to the red rags npc in Chapel ward entrance near the lamp ? Tells you to send people there

the jail, where those sack guys take you, changes and you can't go back to the former verison.
Edit: congrats :D I will join you in a day or two :)

So story progression wise, after
Rom
does
The Reborn One
follow or should I be doing
Cainhurst and Nightmare (which are both fucking hard)

So there is a normal, uncanny, & lost version of every weappn found in the chalice dungeons? Anyone know what's the different between them?

& people were saying there's no replayability or variety in the game.

Iosefka bad spoilers
leave her alive until te nightmare has fallen then come back and finish her off for an important item
What do you mean by after the nightmare has fallen? I've beat 5 bosses so far (Cleric Beast, BSB, Father G, Amelia, Hemlick Witch), and I just found the secret tunnel that leads to the clinic. Will I not get the important item if I kill her now?

Both are optional areas. You
have to open one of the doors in the lecture building. Not sure if it's the upstairs or downstairs one.

Gem slots. Lost have one of each type. Uncanny have a different 3rd slot than the regular.

yeah

It's nonsense, but yeah, I love how you can completely break what some argue is the hardest fight in the game. I dont even remember how I found that.

To be fair, even some of the hardest bosses in souls games like S&O are easily breakable with similar strategies. The question is: Doe you want to beat them like that?

you will know hwat I mean when it happens, but you can also tell by
the blood-red moon hanging low over yharnam and something else thats too spoilery

I'm about halfway through the game and haven't interacted with the chalice dungeons yet. Should I or are they more of a postgame/ng+ thing? I only have one chalice, the
Pthumeru
(or something) one.

So 63 out of 63 metacritic reviews are positive. Universal acclaim, and fully deserved.

I'm on vacation this week. Is it sad that I miss my Bloodborne?

Having a good time though:)

They stary easy, however they ramp up quick to endgamr and then surpass NG+. Only a few though.

Probably talking about Nightmare Frontier.

Cainhurst isn't so bad. Protip - get inside quick. Theres also a hard to spot lantern right near the entrance if you haven't seen it. Totally awesome area too. From your options I'd go Cainhurst, Reborn one, Nightmare

Also dont DBP near the Gaol

heeeh how did you get to the
nightmare before the one reborn
?

RIght after you fight Rom you get transported to the the circular room with Agmadala over you, right? I was plodding to the entrance of the unseen village, and the guy just scoops me up, kills me and transports me to the lecture hall.

oh wow, thats kinda cool. He had gotten to me earlier and I think with the amount of hp i had then that wasnt survivable. So I just avoided him later on

And that's L
ogarius
and M
icolash
defeated. Really enjoyed the former fight. Great setting, good variety of moves to keep me on my toes and just a pretty fun fight overall.

And oh boy just the happy little trio I've been waiting to see again right after the M
icolash
fight...

(end game)
Unseen Village
sucks, so many enemies everywhere that it feels impossible to focus on actually making headway of where you're going.

Got all of my chalice dungeon trophies, man what an experience going through all that.

I didnt record any of the Defiled, at least that I remember, I'll have to check.

Here is how I handled the A
bhorrent Beast
in Ailing Loran

So what are your overall impressions? I'm interested to hear from people that have finished all the chalice dungeon depths, still only on depth 2 myself

Heh. By that point they don't stand a chance though
