26th April - Jason Voorhees (12 days after game launches)
10th May - Tremor
24th May - Predator
7th June - Tanya

Now, based on past NRS games, MK9 had 4 DLC characters from April release to August~, Injustice had 6 from April release to August~ also. So they're clearly getting a lot faster at doing these characters.

I reckon a second Kombat pack feating 4 characters could be in the works, that'd bring us up to August.

If so what other 4 characters would you want to see? Sektor, Reiko, Sindel and Havik IMO. (I think Fujin is gonna be a secret character!)

Very nice, I've got the old kollectors edition on stand by, cant wait for some MORTAL KOMBAT come the 14th, if you guys want I'll fight any one on Xbone and PC just add me.

Great, i was worried i would have to ages for the DLC characters. I'm sure the MK9 characters came out way after the games release. This also supports the possibility of a second DLC character pack.

Wasn't expecting these to come that quickly but can't say I'll complain about Predator coming in May.

Game looks great but I think I'll wait for the Komplete Edition.
I see these posts all the time. If I weren't much of an mk fan it would make sense. For me, waiting a year to play the game in order to save $50 isn't even remotely worth it.

They already said they're not doing that anymore.

These are Australian times, judging by the 15th April release date, I assume they'll all be a day before what I've posted, so a Saturday.

I know but i hope they change and give a exclusive character for both platforms. Kratos was great in MK9:)

I only really want predator from that pack, maybe Tremor depending on how he plays. Hope you can buy them seperate for a decent price.

Saturdays seem like a weird release date for the DLC. How sure are we that this is legit?

No complaints if this is true though, as that's an impressive speed for us to get all those characters. And I definitely wouldn't mind a second pack with four more characters. Just please please give me Fujin and Bo Rai Cho

Yeah that's pretty dumb. I got the game for 25 on cd keys . For 50 bucks you can get the "komplete" experience.

Until the 2nd dlc character pack goes up for 30 again. And if it's like the last 2 times (it will be) the season pass doesn't actually get you all the costumes, those will be separate.

As far as a season 2 character pack, this first one is literally the worst character pack I've ever seen for a game so I'd expect something on the same level of garbage.

Jarek, meat, havik, warwick Davis as the leprechaun in the hood

I'll give you that, that's why I didn't buy the DLC. Just the main game at 25. That's the price of an indie these days so I have no problem with that. The main game will have tons of content. That will hold me over till the true Komplete Kollection. Does anyone know how this works on steam? If I buy the main game and the komplete kollection comes out is it just a DLC add on or a completley new title?

Wow, those dates are really soon.

26th April - Jason Voorhees (12 days after game launches)
1st April(Rumoured random date) - Mewtwo (4 Months 9 days after launch)

All 4 MKX dlc characters will release within the Mewtwo release time frame.

I don't like the idea that there are going to possibly be multiple season passes. It's already 90 with the first season pass.

Edit: well $81 for the preorder combo but still I don't like the idea of spending more.

I am trying to avoid threads with spoilers - but can anyone please tell me if the single player is as full-fledged as 9? I am not really interested in competitive fighting.

Yeah there will be a full story mode and a ton of new challenge tower stuff. Daily and weekly challenges and all sorts of content

Yeah, I only played MK9 before. Bought the game and all DLC on day one. Didn't feel worth it in hindsight so I think I'll wait it out this time.

in the last live stream (a week ago), they said jason is so early that he isnt even in a playable state. and now he is supposed to be finished in less than a month?

does it really only take a few weeks to fully create, voice, balance and animate a character?

Thank you. I really enjoyed 9 because it didn't seem like a game designed for the just multiplayer like many other fighters are.

Lol only 12 days after release? Now we have an on disk dlc (goro) and a completely finished character hidden behind a paywall. Please don't even try to make excuses that Jason isn't finished. But of course industry bias will let NRS slide. You will never see people like angry Joe never calling out the NRS "greed" but they will be the first to point out capcom even if they had a music track hidden behind a 5 cent pay wall.

And people defended this ovepriced nonsense with "They not just being held back" excuses. 12 days.

12 days after official release, not 12 days after the game goes gold. Jason is currently in development, and will still be in development while game discs are being produced. It took an average of 6 weeks for Injustice DLC characters to be developed, so this more or less lines up.

The fact that people still don't get this...

Surprised it took 43 posts for this dumb shit to appear. The game is either in cert or already gold.
They can't add Jason even if finished at this point. He was created outside of regular game Dev hours by people who had finished their work like the art team who finish early on.

I'll bet my avatar he isn't on the disc completed.

I think too mamy people here get caught up on price. Games have an arbitary stagnate value of $60-70 £40-50 new and have had for ages. The dlc and session pass thing has rampt it up but Steam and PSN have also devalued it so no one really knows what they should be paying for games.

To me gaming is my main hobby and i work hard enough to afford it at whatever cost but i know everyone has different budgets and responabilites. This means the value of a game is set by myself as i can support day 1 and dlc up or wait for steam sales complete editions or if i was a douche i could pirate for free.

For example i got Hotline Miami for free and loved it so much i bought the 2nd one at launch on the strentgh of the previous games merits and the devs efforts. Ill be doing the same with MKX for the same reasons.

However this is not a universal rule and each game i buy has a different value to me and i will not pay more than what i believe a game is worth. If i am wrong and a game suprisies me than i am more inclined to support that devs next game regardless.

I guess what im saying is people should stop telling other people they are being ripped off or that they are not supporting devs etc. I also think people should stop being hung up on this perception of value thats actually been given to us by the industry.

If something was finished then it should be added to the game and not hidden behind a paywall. Goro should be added to base game (cause he is part of it) for free. If someone doesn't pre order or buys the game later they are now forced to pay for a disk locked content. Don't be so naive bro.

Edit: also what makes me sad is that dlc a post release game content is beginning to be developed so early before a games release that they are released 12 days within a games release. Wow just wow. What about tuning the game? What about further balancing things? Iorn out some last few bugs but no apply manpower on something to make us even more money. But who am I kidding this is the age of milking and day one patches and dlc
