Call of Duty: Black Ops III Announced - 26th April Full Reveal

I'd be willing to bet almost anything COD will be up YoY this holiday. Unless the community really doesn't like the changes they implement or something.

I believe BO2 is the best selling COD? Either that or MW3

Should be interesting for sure.. the Black Ops name alone should sell more than AW/Ghosts, if it doesn't that'll be worrying and it'll solely be down to the new movement and it will probably be safe to say at that point that CoD will start going back to being traditional CoD.

I guess we'll see.

I thought the same, I thought the reveals usually happen late May?

Honestly, I don't see how much more you can do with WWII without making historical fiction.

Open world seemless. No loading screens. Just drive, walk, or fly. What's that you need to go from Germany to Egypt? Go grab a biplane and get there.

Too much for call of duty but WWII in general still has a lot of potential.

Do I win a prize for talking about my penis on the Internet???
I skipped Advance warfare, who am I kidding I skipped everything after COD4. I'll probably get this for Xbone.

I'm also really really curious what Activision thinks the general opinion on Exo movement is. I know we see complaining about it a decent amount on the internet but that doesn't always translate in regards to real world consumers. I'm sure they've done tons of research, internal polls, and internal play testing on the matter. I'm really curious what their general take away is.

I'd appreciate it if we got more Reznov. Mason's story about where he was between Black Ops 1 and 2 is probably the focus of this new game.

O_O FULL BLOWN FUTURISTIC YESS.

None of this half assed ghosts and AW "well yknow we might have a lazer or small booster pack thing" bullshit.

I want resistance trilogy type variation of weapons. Mounted light shields, full blown metroid prime charge beams that explode entire bodies in gory fashion on contact, high end particle disruptors that disintegrate humans into dust particles!

How did you get that from that pic? That looks like BO2 level tech, which was less futuristic than AW by far.

My wallet is ready for Xbox one version.
Then... Will Wii U version coming?

We probably just have to accept that pointer controlled FPS aiming is dead.

Obviously if there's no PS360 version there'll be no Wii U version.

If there IS a PS360 version.. then there still will be no Wii U version; even if Treyarch wanted to do it (there were rumors that a bunch of Nintendo fans are there, and some would clamor to work on the Wii/U ports... no idea how much truth there is to that), I'd imagine Activision would tell them no.

Hope Treyarch has the guts to go all out instead of trying to make rules to the jetpacks like Sledgehammer did, like being spotted eveytime you jump you would be shown on the map

Damn people really hated the exo suits huh??

I personally enjoyed them. What made me give up on AW was the terrible lag and mainly the maps.

Give me AW type movement but with maps like Summit, Nuketown, Array, Firing Range, WMD and I'll be all over it.

Since it appears BO 3 will continue with an exo type thing, I think Treyarch will take it a step further, which is a good thing in my opinion. AW was futuristic but kind of half assed. If you're going to go futuristic, go all out with it.

I wouldn't be surprised if this game allows you to hover in the air for a short period of time, have fucking gun battles in the air and shit.

Looks like a more advanced exo-suit. I'm good with this. I have faith that Treyarch will implement it well in multiplayer. It doesn't seem as though there's a bulky jet pack on his back, maybe super jump instead? I'd actually prefer that.

This sounds a little like what DICE tried to do with Bad Company 1's campaign. Outside of obvious game engine differences, I don't see why COD can't do that but for WW2.

Take this scene for instance. Replace the settings with some appropriate ww2 armaments, liven up the battleground a bit with more npcs, keep the character and there's a template for a semi open world ww2 shooter somewhere.

Doesn't help that we can't see current players in each playlist.

How did the last COD end? I don't remember.
The last CoD or the last Treyarch CoD?

Because AW ends with you
dropping K-PAX off of a roof by cutting you own prosthetic arm off.

Black Ops 2 has multiple endings.

Wikipedia said:
The storyline of Call of Duty: Black Ops II has several possible endings. The one shown depends on decisions and tasks completed over the course of the game. If the player spares Menendez's life, completes all of the Strike Force Missions, and the characters Chloe Lynch and Alex Mason survive the events of the game, then the preferred ending will result. The player will have secured an alliance between China and the United States, ending the Second Cold War. Lynch's survival prevents Menendez's cyberattack from succeeding. And finally, Alex's survival allows him to visit Frank Woods in retirement, reuniting with David. The final scene shows Menendez in prison becoming enraged after watching a talk show with Jimmy Kimmel interviewing Lynch, who insults Menendez during the interview.

If Menendez is spared and Lynch survives but Alex Mason is killed in action then the Second Cold War will end and Menendez's cyberattack will fail. David Mason will visit his father's grave with Woods and decide to retire from soldiering. Woods comments that his father would approve of the decision.

If Menendez is spared and Lynch is killed, David will take Menendez into custody. The cyberattack will, however, succeed, allowing Menendez to escape. He then kills Woods in the retirement home before visiting his sister's grave, dousing himself in gasoline and readying a lit match.

If Menendez is killed regardless of Lynch and Mason's fate, a YouTube video that Menendez recorded earlier will air, inciting the civilian population to riot and burn down the White House.

If the players complete the game once, players can unlock the non-canonical Special Ending. The ending showing Menendez and Woods having some practice in the backroom with Avenged Sevenfold. They then perform at Club Solar together, with Menendez playing the guitar and Woods on the drums. Several characters from the game also make an appearance in the cheering crowd.

Probably a little biased right now. People posting in r/blackops3 are likely looking to escape from AW.

Also the "vocal minority" is 100% a real thing on the internet. Not that I'm saying those against Exo's are the minority, I really don't know. I think only Activision truly has the data for that. I'm really curious what they think about it though internally
