Yeah, it would be great to see how RAD performs on their second console game, with all the feedback they got, and not having to dedicate much of their time on engine work.

I still think it's gonna happen, since we haven't heard of people being laid off or the studio being closed down or restructured. It bodes well for now. But I'm still a bit nervous about it.

Shenmue 2 ends on the craziest cliffhanger in all of gaming. I'm never giving up hope. I genuinely loved that story. The tone was amazing throughout 2 despite some goofy interludes.

Its of a cool reveal than a cliffhanger, so to speak. In my opinion anyway.

Actually came to post this. It along with BGE were 2 games I happened to get dirt cheap around the same time, played through and loved. And neither did well in sales or got a sequel.

Though, Kya didn't help that half the copies of the game had the endings backwards where saving all the wolfen was supposed to give you the real ending but sometimes would give you the black out ending.

Granted, it got [partially] addressed with DLC but come on.. I want a fucking sequel, Ubi! DO IIIIT.

This. DLC had an even bigger cliffhanger really. It's a shame we'll never get to explore more of that world.

I've posted this elsewhere on GAF in the past, but many people don't seem to know that Prince of Persia: The Fallen King for Nintendo DS is a direct sequel to PoP 08!

It features the same Prince and starts up immediately after the events of the PoP 08 Epilogue.
It's a decent game for what it is and is dirt-cheap these days but it doesn't really resolve much from PoP 08 so I'd still like to see a full-fledged sequel on consoles. :S
