What is not accounted for is digital sales for PC or digital sales outside of the ~220k bundled download codes.

Mindless shooters like Titanfall, Destiny, Halo and COD etc. will always sell more as they accommodate the lowest common denominator of gamers. Not point in comparing it to a game to Souls game.

That's pretty insulting for people who are fans of those games. People who take the time to get good at Halo or Destiny aren't any less skilled than people who play Souls games or whatever. Just because a franchise has a broader appeal doesn't mean it's a dumbed down product for a "lowest common denominator" audience.

Eh, I wouldn't be that harsh. It's true that it has the biggest audience, but because it's well served, one still needs a good secret sauce to achieve the kind of success that Titanfall and Destiny did.
Titanfall was unique enough a shooter to stand out, and it was backed by the biggest hype train of both huge publisher marketing and games media I ever saw in the past 2 years.
Destiny was similar on that regard, though the games media were less hyperbolic about it...yet it felt like Destiny held the interests longer.

Isn't MKX the only notable release? The only bet that could be made for that is whether it goes above or below 1 million.
Or maybe say 360 > XB1 or something. But that just doesn't have the same excitement as the bloodborne prediction

It's not really insulting though(if the way I phrased it was that wasn't my intention). You don't need to be particularly good at games to enjoy a campaign or MP in the vast majority of FPS. I play some FPS(Destiny, Battlefield) so I'm not saying the games are trash or anything. They are the Transformers of gaming though.

If I knew the 360's sales for February and this month, I could go insane with 360 > Wii U.Or maybe say 360 > XB1 or something. But that just doesn't have the same excitement as the bloodborne prediction

April historically is a low month for hardware and I don't think MK X will change that in 2015.

Get off your high horse and my gamez are da best attitude.
I like shooters and play COD and Destiny allot. To be good is not mindless and unskilful.
I also loved hard mode Ninja gaiden and other action games, there is no superiority in ones preferences, they just scratch different itches for different folk.
The reason these games sell well is that they are social, playing online with friends and they are good. Games like GTA 5 sell phenomenal due to them being social with GTA online IMO and being good.
