I'm halfway convinced now that Kojima's "severing" from Konami is all part of the ruse. Konami had released an official statement that Kojima has not been fired. A voice actress on twitter accused Konami of firing him and they quickly expressed that Kojima was not fired. The only real effects of whatever is happening here is the removal of Kojimas logo from his games. This makes me think of the phantom pains theme. Loosing something that was there.
