Tales of Zestiria PS4 up for pre-order on Best Buy.com (NA)

I'm just happy we are getting these games in the west with proper localizations (save for hearts r).

I don't want them to pour more money into the series and have it not meet their expectations resulting in my infinite sadness towards bamco to begin again.

PS: that vesperia PS3 cross has got to weight a ton by now!

Indeed I'd love for them to have more budget but I'd infinately prefer they keep existing over being given a larger budget only to not meet expectations and the series goes mobile or is canned over it.

I paid good money for this Dynex!
I'd rather get the cheaper PS3 version than what will probably just be a qucik upres. I'm just going to end up finishing the game in like four days anyways.

Lazy or not, if you've seen the screencaps from the PS3 version, you'd know that the game looks rough. There's aliasing all over the place. Just having a system the game can run decently on should be a huge upgrade.

I can finally put my PS3 to rest.
Yup. I was originally just going to skip this game since I decided to "officially" retire my PS3 after I finished the latest Atelier last month and didn't think it worth the trouble just for a Tales that didn't look exceptional 6 months later. But I'll gladly buy up a PS4 version like a total idiot. Because I'm a total idiot.

They're just waiting until Tales Fest to officially announce the PS4 version. They probably want the leaks until then just to please the people who would only buy a PS4 version.

As I said in the other many threads about this, wait until Tales of Festival. :) I'm sure that is when its getting announced.

I'm dying here for this to be official, next month is so far away.

Can't wait to put my PS3 to rest in the closet it have been a good 9 years but I'm so ready to move on and focus 100% on the PS4.

This game is pretty much the only reason my PS3 still has a place in my apartment. At this point I feel I can finally get rid of the thing as Zesteria is all but officially on PS4 at this point.

While I have a PS4, I am really excited about the possibility of a PC release. I wonder what the chances are that they would go back and release the other games for PC? Probably low, right?

That said, at least it looks like it won't be PS3 exclusive.

Haha, I had forgotten it hasn't been announced yet. Such a silly situation.

To be fair, I'm still waiting for Beyond Two Souls on PS4.

Announce it Bandai Namco! Either way, I'll be getting it day one.
Hopefully they would put that extra story dlc on the disc.

I'm way more curious about the PC port, but I hope that the PS4 version happening day-and-date is also indicative of that being quick.

I'll probably buy the PS4 version for $20 extra and not finish it. Why don't I value my money?

jk. Xillia is the last game I can remember completing. I'll stick it out.

I'll buy it day one at full price. Hopefully will include both language.

This year end is so good for JRPG fan. D5, P5, DQH and now ToZ. Those are on PS4 alone and I might be missing some more, definitely something is on PSV as well.

Dual audio was already confirmed and you missed Xenoblade Chronicles X. There's too much for the end of the year. I wish they were spread out :(

Day one on PS4 for me. That way, Yakuza 5 can be my last PS3 game this Summer and I can retire the PS3 out of the living room.

Having played the game, The engine strikes me as originally intended for the PS4 but downgraded a shitton for the PS3. Hence all the performance bullshit in the PS3 version.

THIS

So much this... so much potential when i was playing the game, but you feel like they want to do more and the console can't.

Putting aside the fact that i would like Namco bandai to give the Tales team more resources aside, the fact that Namco bandai is trying to aim for closer releases between Japan and the West literally says nothing about making the game international.

I never said they definitely are.

I said they definitely should be. As in, it is a stupid decision not to.

This, Persona 5 and Ultra Street Fighter IV on my PS4. I literally have no reason to keep my PS3 in my room anymore. Can finally box the soldier up.

Okay cool, thanks for the info.
That Xenoblade Chronicle X sure does looks great but I don't have WiiU console. Not until Nintendo either start selling their console in my country or remove the region lock.

No prob. But damn, you can't even buy it in your country? That's lame! Such robbery!

Time for a rightful retirement. Ps3, you'll be missed

Well I can't buy Wii U or 3DS here, at least officially.
I'm rocking my 3Ds everyday but I'm at God's mercy if anything bad happened to my Nintendo stuffs.

That might be why the game was announced for fall instead of Summer (August) .
Hopefully this is true .

Because I'm pretty sure sales for this game will be bad if it's only for PS3.

Really only interested in the PS3 version the Tales series is no longer a system seller to me so I won't be rushing out to buy a PS4. But if the PS4 version is a vast upgrade over the PS3 then I can wait.

If the pc version is day and date or coming shortly after (assuming they confirm this.. though we did see the steamDB entry some months ago..) I'll wait for that, otherwise PS4 all the way.

My PS3 has been retired, but I'd have pulled it out of retirement for this.

I'm not sure if the Tales of team is actually doing the PC/PS4 port themselves, but if they are it would be great for them to get both PS4 and PC development experience. It's definitly something more Japanese devs need.

YES! Can't wait for this. My PS3 died half a year ago so I'm more than happy with all those PS4 ports we are getting.

Half of the programmers for Zestiria are from tri-Crescendo (which did the ToSC port before). I wouldn't be surprised if they were contracted to work on the game with the goal from the start of eventually making it multiplatform.

There are some shops selling them, however getting the warranty is such a pain. Usually they import them from US and I'm living in SEA. Once your console goes wrong, better to buy a new one. Region lock also makes it harder to buy games, really need to see if the region matched before buying each game. Not sure eShop will work or not over here for digital download.

I've been waiting to preorder this at my local GS because I knew that they would put the probably superior PS4 version up.
