Romario risked his life injecting a cocktail of oil, painkillers and alcohol into his biceps, called synthol.

At one point, doctors thought they would have to amputate both his arms, which had swollen to 25 inches after the muscles started to solidify.
The 25-year-old from Brazil, says: ‘I remember the doctor told me that they would need to amputate both arms – they said everything in there, all my muscles, were rock.’

Romario’s dangerous obsession started three years ago after he moved from his hometown to Goiania in Brazil.

He recalls: ‘I saw some really big guys in the gym with huge arms and I started to make friends with them. They introduced me to synthol and I got excited about the results – I lost control.’

He didn’t stop even when his muscles began to solidify. He admits: ‘I couldn’t even inject my arms – they were full of rocks.’.

However, he describes how the doctors were able to save his arms. ‘Thank God the doctor told me that they did not have to amputate – they could instead remove the synthol rocks which had formed in my arms,’ he says.

He has now not used the substance for two years and, while he admits he’s still tempted by muscle enhancing drugs, he says he wants to achieve his ambitions of being a professional bodybuilder through exercise and diet alone

That's fucking scary. I'm not going to judge this guy. It sounds like he had an addiction just like any other person that gets caught up in their body woes. It's happened time and time again and will continue to happen. The need to be swole is too much for some. I'm glad I'm pretty happy with how I look and I am improving my own health without feeling the need to compete with everyone around me. I hope he can do the same.

I will never, ever, understand why anyone thinks synthol is a good shortcut, or that it even looks good. It really boggles my mind.

Synthol man, I never understood the want for that, you look terrible on it. Why not just use some testostetone and Deca or Tren or something? Is this stuff really cheap or something?

I knew this was going to be about some Brazilian idiot going nuts with Synthol before I ever clicked on the thread.

Help me out, Brazil-GAF. Is this plague as common as it looks from the news? Because I swear half of the stories about men using oil to "improve" their bodies to disgusting extremes come from Brazil.

The crazy thing is that according to a Brazilian guy that trains at my gym, getting your hands on some pharma grade,real PED is cheap and easy.

It's oil, so it's basically cheap as dirt. It also allows you to get automatic results with zero training. There's no increase in muscle mass, just tumour-like masses of hardened oil. Gross. The crazy thing is that according to a Brazilian guy that trains at my gym, getting your hands on some pharma grade,real PED is cheap and easy.

Remember, many PEDs, especially of the hormone variety are only illegal in the US. You can get test in Mexico rather easily--pharma grade stuff--not underground Chinese lab garbage.

Don't Google Image search Synthol infections.
