GTA V PC |OT| Benny Hill Sped Up Fake Gamey Edition

Ok, I'm fairly sure the hitch lift events are bugged for me. Reached 100%, 70 hours in, and they've never triggered. Not once. Those and security vans don't seem to occur. The vans would show up early in my playthrough, but I tended to leave them as I didn't have sticky bombs at the time. They're meant to respawn though.

GTA 5 physical sales pass 5m mark in UK

The Grand Theft Auto 5 sales behemoth knows no end: Rockstar's epic has now sold over five million copies in the UK alone.

Official figures from Chart-Track, which do not include download sales, reveal GTA 5's latest milestone.

GTA 5's global success has been reflected in the UK. In November 2014 the release of the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of GTA 5 secured its place as the UK's best-selling game of all time, beating Call of Duty: Black Ops. It was already the UK's fastest-selling game of all time, selling 2.25m copies in five days and breaking Call of Duty: Black Ops' record of two million copies in the same period.

The total sales figure for GTA 5 in the UK is no doubt even more impressive following the game's recent release on PC, where download sales on platforms such as Steam dominate.

Well deserved.

Talk to an NPC then immediately get into a vehicle. If they have shit to say, they'll get in and talk while you drive. Sometimes they'll get out after, sometimes they'll stay in.

So bummed by the desync issues in this game. Riding in a car is impossible with people online. I'll watch them srop drivong for ten seconds before the game catches up and I'm who onows where. Can't shoot or anything. Rockstar is so shitty for not supporting dedicated servers for such a demanding game.
Yup.

Worst thing about GTA right now. If online was lag free it would be on another level.

lmao

How do we talk to them? You mean like stand by them till they say something then get in a car? I wanna try it.

It's right on the DPad with a controller to talk to someone, not sure what it is on keyboard.

Is the joke that you think she's a prostitute? She's a normal NPC, talk to any NPC on foot, then get in a car and they'll follow you. Even a random fat guy.

I can confirm. It took an age to make it work (mainly because people run away if you park close by), but I got a random rich woman in downtown LS to get into my car. The trick is that it normally happens on the second interaction. Where the first one is normally "Hey", the second is "What's going on" from your character. The ped you're talking to will sometimes tell you a bit of a story and walk towards you to tell you it, if you get in your car, they'll come with you. They'll get scared and want out after their speech.

Here's a pic of that dressed woman just for proof that it's not only prostitutes.

Old news? Eh, new to me, so I reckoned I'd share.

I was making a hooker joke lol.

Also has anyone had a hacker shoot them with a minigun that shoots bags of money? Some dude was running around as a monkey shooting bags of $40,000 at people, is there a way to get rid of the money? I don't want to get the Rockstar cops on me...

Fantastical

First time playing through most of the game. Just got to the part where Trevor
murders Floyd and Debra
.

Very disturbing. Really brings the fun out of that character.

So I finally bought this for pc and I'm having tons of issues. No matter how I set the graphic settings, I get occasional flickering/flashing textures, like the road or a mountain etc. Even when the game ready nvidia driver.

I beat the game before I went to Japan four days ago and I went with
option C
.

If I do the replay mission in the menu and choose other options, it doesn't override what I choose right?

Judging by the news site, I'd guess that Debra shoots Floyd, then Trevor kills Debra, presumably with the knife.

Playing the breakout heist in the role of the pilot. Everything is going swimmingly, the buzzard protects me from jets and the others bring our "guest" to the sandy shores airstrip, the "guest" gets into the plane, one of the other players gets into the plane.

good! we'll get some money now right?

Well, "how about no?" the other player says while he jumps in the middle of a group of enemies and suddenly shows "paused" above his head.

God effing damnit guys, why do people do this. Haven't been able to complete a single heist because of this and I absolutely need the money to get a nice haircut.

I'm starting to realize that the prettiest part of this game is definitely the backroads around the observatory, especially on a nice clear day with a blue sky. Driving those roads is a blast and the game is gorgeous, there are some really nice views to be had. The city doesn't do much for me, in actuality I feel like it's kind of ugly.

Some of the most beautiful moments are flying a plane around Blaine County during sunrise or sunset. Especially prominent during the Nervous Ron mission. The foliage adds so much to it too. I still remember playing this on my PS3 with the fans in overdrive, with shitty textures, horrible aliasing and a godawful framerate.

Really frustrated that there's still no word on singleplayer DLC. Just tease it Rockstar so we know it's still coming. If it's anything like The Lost and Damned, The Ballad of Gay Tony, or Undead Nightmares, it will be epic.

I have some questions I hope someone can answer for me!

My SO decided he wants to play GTA V but he doesn't know where to start. I have not played GTA for maaaany years, so I'm also out of the loop.

The problem is that we only have Macs. Mine is quite decent for gaming but it wouldn't be very optimal with Boot Camp since it tends to get hot real fast.

Is the PS3 version still enjoyable compared to PC?
And the PS3 version is fine for new players, right?

He wants to have fun doing silly stuff and I hope that the PS3 isn't that limited compared to PC. We live in Japan but the Japanese version isn't the same as NA so we would import, probably. How is the PS3 NSFW situation? We want fun and nipples, if possible!

On the technical side, PS3 version has a shitty framerate and jaggies everywhere. Gameplay-wise, it's pretty much the same, though current gen and PC have extra stuff like first person mode and some bonus content.

Also, PS3 version should be uncensored too (dunno if they made any edits for the Japanese version).

Thank you for your reply!

I checked the graphics on PS3 vs PS4 and I think we'll go with PS4.
The Japanese version in censored so we'll play the NA version (yes, I know it's not co-op).

How does PS4 compare, other than improved graphic?
(I tried to Google but the articles I found are too focused on minor stuff I don't care about.)

Like I said, I haven't played GTA in a very long time so you don't have to mention stuff I wouldn't know about (like returning characters, weapons changes, etc).

PS4 version has first person mode as I said, faster loading times, new animals, more vehicle customization, more vehicles, the ability to play as animals, greater density of vehicles and pedestrians and more radio songs.

And I can't really emphasize enough how terrible performance is on PS3 (think sub-30FPS most of the time), so PS4 is definitely the right call.

If you have a PS4 and a PS3, get the PS4 GTAV. No need to grab a PS3 version.
We don't but was thinking of using GTA V as an excuse to finally buy one.

Okay, I've decided then. Thank you for your help! :3
Time to figure out what other games I should get too.

Just finished the main story line missions in single player. Holy fuck are the credits long. I didn't time them, but I swear it was at least 20 minutes.

Edit: I checked youtube out and it appears that it is 35 minutes long. Is that a record for a movie or video game or what?

Pretty sure the latest Assassin's Creed games break that record.

Finished the main story a couple of days ago. Overall, I really liked the game. Going around and buying properties up now and doing some more of the side stuff.

Wish there was more to do with property. I have stupid amounts of money and would love to buy more properties either for my cars or just to have some kind of hijinx possible.

How is online? Do people find it enjoyable?

Depends. I can see it having lots of potential but the execution is so poorly done it's not even remotely fun for me. Long loading screens everywhere, disconnects all over the place, non-existant anti-cheat (cheaters can delete all your weapons, garage, kill people in your name etc etc)... I didn't bother with it more than two hours, waiting for a community-driven replacement.

Wow that's bad. I have to say, when I played GTA Online I just did lots of heisting with the GAF crew, and I had a blast. Some of the most fun I've had in an online non-strategy game.

I've had such bad luck with GTA Online these days, last time I got on my buddy was turned into a UFO then we were spawn-killed by explosions.

Thanks for not implementing ANY anti-cheat protection Rockstar.
