It sucks because so few games actually allow you to deviate from gender norms when it comes to clothing and the majority of ones that let you do play it off as a joke.

what my post was is my own issues I faced in games like Animal Crossing New Leaf when I had to tan to get dark skin

to me it is hard to get Japanese developers to understand why brown skin for my avatar as a choice is important

most of you have jumped into your own conclusions about what I know of the issue

if you cant articulate the problem in this game beyond the jokes or people seeing it as gay the gender issue has a few more years to evolve mindsets

did you miss the OR that separted the two issues?
I named two issues that people fight for which I cannot claim to know anything about on an emotional level
and I named one issue being black and how it relates to having a choice in this game a choice missing from New Leaf

the only way Nintendo can avoid all our agendas is Genderless Yoshies and Kirbies

but at least now I understand a whole lot more of why you want boy in a skirt = so that it is no longer a big deal

To be fair to twothunder, the point wasn't that this isn't worthy of discussion, however A) this is potentially an issue that ranges way beyond one outfit in Splatoon and B) this particular thread is not the place to be hosting the discussion now that it's gone this deep. The topic's original intent is being overshadowed. Nobody's trying to be disrespectful of what the discussion stands for.

Anyway, back to said original topic intent, Nintendo had better release a full wallpaper of this artwork once their countdown tweets are completed. The art style is so stylish and dynamic, I'd definitely rock it for a while over my current Xenoblade X setup.
