From a comment on Shoryuken:

Don't get it, I'm back on PC. The game is a lot smoother and online is good. If you want to play USF4 play it on either PC/360.

Slowdown on menus? Did anyone even QA this?

All I want is my Madcatz SFxT Fightpad to work on PS4. I know it works with MKX, and it's the same Legacy program, and there's no way it would run into exceptions to the PS3 rule...

I didn't know he doesn't have an arcade stick. I was taught plinking to help me understand linking, and I think that I'm better for it, but maybe that's because my first character was Abel in AE, so maybe that will provide some context as to why I learned both at the same time. I also provided another less complicated explanation of frame data just a few posts below.

Jesus, attack GAF. I'll be certain to ignore posts for help in the future like everyone else.

I appreciated it anyway. At least it got others to pipe up, even if I had no idea what plinking was lol.

Can we have one goddamn game come out and not have a bunch of issues for once?

Even if laggy menus and stuff like that aren't a humongous deal, there's no reason something like that should be happening.

The game is fine but the menus are fuuuucked, it's crazy. Clearly they had to focus on the important things to get it out the door but it's pretty surprising.

Im no pro, but the gameplay seems normal to me. Lets hope they patch in AF and smooth out the character select, but the actual game seems just fine.

I was really excited to jump into SF4 on PS4 since I didn't really play much on my PS3, but all of these comments regarding the lag made me hold off for now... Just bought Dark Souls 2 instead on PS4 (seems to be a pricing error right now that lists it as $38, in case anyone is interested). I still want to buy USF4, but I was really hoping this would be the definitive version that ran the best. Does anyone know if this kind of stuff can/will get fixed? I may still cave and buy it once we get some more feedback from players, but man am I disappointed by what I'm hearing so far. :(

When was the last time Capcom employed QLOC for porting duties? General consensus was that they did good work all around.

Just reading the comments here but the issues seem to be;

Lack of AA
Lack of AF
Laggy Menus

All 3 can be patched if they bother.

It can be patched, it isn't that big of a deal. Sony recently tweeked their AF tech to make it easier to implement and some devs went back to fix it. There's a thread about it somewhere.. .

The issues arent big at all. They can all/will be fixed by a quick patch

I cant see how a game that's meant to be the tournament standard being a completely terrible port

How's the online? I hope it's not like Ultra on PS3. :/

Played a dozen or so matches and it seems the same so take that however you want. It can be good but randoms are a lottery as always, on any format.

I'm positive it will, it's exactly the sort of thing you don't prioritise to get it shipped for a certain date due to the constraints you're working under. The game seems fine, it's just the menus and the internet being the internet about absolutely everything.

Is it too much to ask Other Ocean patch the damn menus, add some anisotropic filtering + AA, maybe via Capcom getting them to do it?

I mean, would that cost SO much development money that it's out of the question ?

Outside of what has been said...played about 10 matches. The game just feels off. Frame delay super obvious in 2 bar matches, around 5-9 frames. Feels slower online compared to PC/360. It's still running at 60, but I'm having a hard time figuring out what's going on. Can feel it, can't explain it.

Crazy black outline around every character, very obvious if you look. Some stages colors are super off, super saturated.

Matchmaking is like early PC, most connection pings are blank.

How is the port?

Sounds like it has way more issues then a straight port should have.

Bummer. Once I saw the developer was some no name someone and not done by Cpacom themselves or a more respected developer known for fighting game ports like Iron Galaxy I kind of expected issues but the way Capcom has been positioning it as THE version of USF4 I though maybe there was hope.

I guess i'm sticking with the 360 version...

The older gen version is better. They may have baited us with 1080p and 60fps but the other issues present are unacceptable.

Does the game feel off offline as well? Or just online?

If it feels that way offline then lol at this being the new tournament standard.

Weren't you the one complaining about PSN just a couple pages ago? Now it's other people that have slow download speeds and it's not PSN's fault? :p

Im not allowed to voice my complaints now? Yea the menus speed suck right now. Thats going to affect EVO big time.

Anyways, playing online at the moment. It seems that the netcode is as good as XBL for now. Well im hosting at the moment, need more testing. Game runs well too. Looks like they added some graphical effects to the game as well. Bison's Ultra 1 got more graphical effects to it.

Anyone wants to match me? Projectjustice77
