What in the absolute fuck are these controls?!? Used a controller, and they're horrendous. Any better with a mouse/keyboard?
Are you setting them in the correct file? E.g. for me it's "C:\Users\Peter\Documents\My Games\D4 Dark Dreams Don't Die DEMO\Ms01Game\Config\Ms01SystemSettings.ini".
I haven't tried it myself, but since it's UE3 there's no reason to suspect it won't work with arbitrary resolutions.
Also, Dr Dogg's shots on the previous page seem to confirm that.

I'll wait until full game comes out. Dead Premonition PC port was an absolute fucking travesty.

Ugh 1440p isn't working for me either. Set the res via the "Ms01SystemSettings" file but using the launcher just has the game play out in 1080p and the executable in the Binaries>Win64 folder does the same, only in a window instead, which can't be maximized to fit my screen (1440p).

It's actually cut down for time and doesn't include the more ridiculous parts. You're in for a treat.
We recommend you play with a mouse only. The controller controls are the same as the Xbox One version, if that's your thing.

Runs ok on my 6850 and 4gigs of ram.

When you bypass the launcher, you also need to set Fullscreen to True in the same Ms01SystemSettings.ini that you edited before.

Had a weird error when doing the custom resolution to 4k where the VA and music at the beginning didn't play. I fixed it up and the game looks nicer and I can hear the VA + Music.

It's been years since I've downloaded a pre-release demo of a game.
Didn't run at first, then I had to download the Visual Basic thing or whatever.
Didn't exactly help that they had linked the JAPANESE downloads in the ENGLISH help file...
Runs with much stutter at 1080 on my 17" MacBook Pro 2011. The gfx card is about at the minimum requrement.
After I set it to minimum and 720p it ran much better. It was actually fun then
But that tedious install and search for extensions online really made me thankful for console gaming... ugh...

You should be more thankful for PC developers that follow proper protocol and global support.
The convergence gets a little fast and loose with this game, but when things line up right wow 3D looks so much better than the game in 2D.

Does the game have side by side 3D support built in or do I have to install one of those apps to do it for me? I remember Crysis 2 had a SBS 3D option in there.

shakes head - kinnect gets no games, then ends up ruining this one. I was really hoping the PC version woud fix this, get good sales and lead to more episodes
Nah, those were taken using 3D vision. It's just that stereo images save them as side by side, and it's the most convenient way to share images online because people can just cross their eyes to see it in 3D.
If you've got a 3D capable display you can check your driver settings to see if you can enable 3D and get it working.
You're overexaggerating it.
It's really not much different from a point-and-click game with some mouse-based QTE.
I have this dumb Sony Playstation display thing. I could never get it working right with my Nvidia setup.
Doesn't work on my machine, although I have installed everything listed in the ReadMe (my .NET Framework is a newer version though). It just crashes at the splash screen. "D4: Dark Dreams Don't Die doesn't work anymore" (rough translation)

It was stupid on xbox one but somewhat understandable as a kinnect game. Makes no sense on PC.

Definitely not reversed. The only thing I did to modify the screengrabs that Nvidia drivers grabbed was to resize it. It works crossing your eyes, as well as opening them in 3D image viewer.
