And has absolutely nothing to do with Nintendo. How are fans okay with this spot not being one of Nintendo's iconic characters? Does Nintendo not have a fighting game character they could have added?
I would argue most people associate Street Fighter with Nintendo.

Boss Doggie

all my loli wolf companions are so moe
Super move yo

Yeah, but that's Shin Shoryuken according to the trophy, unless he actually has two moves (maybe something to do with a possible EX meter?)

WHERE IS THAT INKLING GIRL RENDER FROM

I only see people talking about Roy and Ryu :(

I don't care much for those two characters (happy they're in, still), but some Splatoon representation would be mad fresh

I think his stage looks bland.

Two long platforms and two small ones with what looks to be a walk off.

Can someone explain this?

It's a Street Fighter Stage modified for Smash Bros. Designwise, it's Ryu's Stage from SF2 only with platforms because platforms are a thing in Smash.

We're still on the Nintendo history stuff for spots in smash? People need to let it go. As soon as 3rd party was introduced this is always going to be a thing. Regardless there's significance there like everyone else who has been 3rd party as well.

Trophy files. Actually just realized it's the same pose & everything as the amiibo.

No idea how we get her. Could be a random trophy to collect, maybe you gotta scan the Splatoon amiibo, or something.

Only a trophy?

;(

I just read the reddit post in the OP too, which clearly explains it's a trophy - I'm too tired for E3 leaks at the moment, clearly

so we're ALL campaigning for Pichu next, right?

As dumb as that would be, I actually don't think I'd mind Pichu coming back as Smash's Dan-like character. It was good for laughs back in Melee, if nothing else.

But as far as I'm concerned, Wolf is the only remaining veteran who really should come back (besides the Ice Climbers and I guess Snake, but we all know they aren't happening and why they aren't). Young Link is just a less awesome, worse-looking version of Toon Link, Pichu is Pichu, Pokémon Trainer is irrelevant now that Charizard is its own character, Squirtle and Ivysaur... well, we already have six Pokémon in the roster
yes I know that's not a sufficient reason
.

Indeed. I know I do. I think most of the people yelling about Street Fighter having nothjng to do with Nintendo were either too young or not even alive when Street Fighter II and its various sequels/editions were released on Super NES as the definitive home console Street Fighter experience.

Wolf feels like a guarantee.
Snake could happen, and with the rules now broken, there's no reason he couldn't bring Simon Belmont with him. But that's up to Konami I guess.
Ice Climbers deserve back in but they probably won't for technical reasons
Squirtle and Ivysaur should come back. Pokemon had the most characters under one icon on Brawl, I see no reason why they shouldn't again here. But I understand why they might not.
Pichu could happen because he'd be so easy to bring back and his riskier playstyle could actually be fun if well balanced.
Young Link probably won't happen and probably shouldn't, but I know damn well I'd be happy to see him back too.

Are you serious?! Ryu is basically "THE" icon of SF, fighting games and the genre as a whole. If you lived in the 90's, fighting games ruled the scene for a long while all because of what SFII started. SFII is legit, one of the most important games in video game history for what it did and Smash fans should accept the fact that their game probably wouldn't be here without SF.

Wow, so I suppose this means we'll get both Ryu and Roy tomorrow alongside Lucas? Can't say I saw that coming, though it is certainly exciting and explains why they decided to do a presentation for this upcoming patch.

Still crossing my fingers that the patch also comes with a reworking of how customs work, at the very least eliminating finding "duplicates" and adding customs to the DLC characters,

Hope that also means we get an actual Nintendo newcomer announced at E3, as unlikely as it is before the poll results are in.

I'm very excited to see this but I feel bad for the dev team that this all leaked. Does this mean Roy/Ryu are being released tomorrow as well?

What is it with people spewing this nonsense? Ryu is the main character of the best-selling third-party game in Nintendo history. Street Fighter II was huge.

Probably because SF doesn't feel like a nintendo game anymore. Feels more Xbox/Playstation/PC.

I'm still holding out on smash. This does make me more interested as I want to see how he fits in, but I would have preferred a well done cute pokemon or something I think. Just so it fits what I think of smash more (party brawler, not serious fighter). Though as others have mentioned, they have some too serious characters anyway.
