Honestly, don't give a damn how the combat is. Whether it's turn based or not I'm not in this for details like that. Whether it has turn-based combat, FFXII's combat, FFXV's combat or even FFXIV's combat, I'm in this for the story, the characters, the setting and the boootyfull graphics.

Not saying your opinions and preferences aren't just as valid as mine, but I disagree that this game needs to have any specific combat system to be successful.

I doubt this is actually a shot for shot remake of the game. I bet there will be some changes, and I am curious to see how the do the battle, is it going to be ATB or action or some way we can switch between the two?

But I will buy this DAy 1 but I would much rather see those names attached to FFXVI than a remake of a game that should stay as is. I feel as if though the project wouldn't work without those names connected to it though. I just feel a lot of people may be disappointed.

Are they really leaving money on the table though? Weigh the cost of a XB1 port against potential sales on that console. People don't buy an XB1 in hopes of a FF7 remake. For a small % of X1 owners, it may be a nice bonus to have the game come out, but if it sold more than 100k units I'd be shocked.

From a business perspective yes, put it out on everything, that's what lead to the 360 version of the FFXIII trilogy.

I've said it before. If it stays on the PS4 and is released later on the PC I'll be somewhat surprised. If it's released on PS4 and then other consoles and PCs later, I'll be more surprised. Saying that it's "first on PS4" for whatever set amount of time is already a smart decision because it's the console with the largest install base of this generation. PC makes sense since Sony doesn't consider it competition. Xbox One only makes sense in NA.

I don't think it will be a small percentage of XB1 owners myself. FFVII is a landmark title.

Especially if they go an Action RPG route, I see it selling pretty big on that platform.

Keep in mind that Japanese multiplat games in general usually sell more on Playstation than Xbox, even in times/territories where Xbox has a significantly larger install base (ie FFXIII sold more on PS3 in the US than 360, despite 360 having a 2:1 install base advantage there.) If the PS4 version is having a head start anyway it's very possible that an XBone port wouldn't sell enough to justify its cost.

Whether it happens will probably depend on what the XBone's install base looks like in a year or two and how FFXV/KH3 sell on XBone. If the market for JRPGs is non-existent on XBone, why bother putting them on there?

I want to see story tweaks, plot holes closed, a much better translation, and gameplay/battle tweaks.
