Right now E3 Pes 2016 code is 1360x1080 according to Adam Bhatti, they are working upgrading resolution to 1920x1080.

Can't tell if it's the same for Metal Gear

People DO understand that Microsoft has some of the smartest graphics programmers IN THE WORLD. We CREATED DirectX, the standard API’s that everyone programs against. So while people laude Sony for their HW skills, do you really think we don’t know how to build a system optimized for maximizing graphics for programmers? Seriously?

Its not that suspicious - I presume the engine in GZ used only the eSRAM for the framebuffer which limited resolution. Surely they just had to work around that limitation opposed to the idea that the XO was only capable of 720p/60fps for the Fox engine because of spec

Ah so its just moving to dynamic scaling potentially - still 1360x1080 is more than 16:9 720p

Weird, just two days ago, Adam Bhatti, the Product Manager of PES 2016 said they "hoped" they could achieve 1080p.

For PES 2016, the PS4 version will obviously be in 1080p and we hope to achieve the same on Xbox One but this time around, we shouldn't have visual differences between the two versions

Uhhh? Parity? What would you be expecting? And how is this bad for ps4 owners? I'm a ps4 owner, why should I care that they're getting a good frame rate and resolution on their console. This is a everybody wins situation.

I am skeptical of a jump to 1080p. I would believe 720p to 900p but then what, did Kojipro just not give the time of day to the Xbone version and chose 720p in lieu of optimization? If it's true and will have no visual downgrades that's great for Xbone players but we'll have to wait and see the proof.

If it's just optimisation on Konami's side, great but if Microsoft updating the SDK has helped as well, it's kinda annoying they borked the hardware initially. I imagine a lot of Microsoft folk think what could've been if they had done it better similar to Sony.

Now that is just a pathetic perspective. TPP, if anything, looks better than GZ did on PS4
So why are we assuming that the PS4 version was compromised instead of the more probable "KojoPro found a way to improve the Xbone performance scenari"

Basically, don't go around dissing forced parity when there is no evidence at all supporting that claim.

If it's just optimisation on Konami's side, great but if Microsoft updating the SDK has helped as well, it's kinda annoying they borked the hardware initially. I imagine a lot of Microsoft folk think what could've been if they had done it better similar to Sony.
720p/30 fps last I checked.

Why is everyone saying fps locked? Locked means it can't drop below or go above the intended target. Capped is a much better term since it creates a ceiling and can go only lower.

End rant.
 
Good news indeed. Having played Ground Zeroes, I think the game is good looking but very much a cross gen title. On the other hand, GTA 5 ran at 30 fps, but I suppose it is doing a lot more in terms of world content.
 
My guess is 1366x1080 or whatever a lot of games are going for now instead of 900p.


At least its not 720p anymore. No reason for that for a cross gen game on XB1.

Are you expecting it to run at 4K if the xb1 version runs at 1080p? Not to mention same resolution does not=parity.

Similar or weaker GPUs can run Ground Zeroes 1080p/60 on PC at normal setting the console version runs at, initial release must have been too screwed.

Or maybe KojiPro are satisfied with what they have graphically and chose to improve other aspects of the game instead of seeing how far they could push the graphics.
