Bash them whatever you want for the launch's mess but the support has been great.

I don't give people credit for support when they caused the disaster that required the support in the first place. Do it right the first time and we don't need to talk about support.

It's not like Other Ocean was an unknown quantity. Everyone both inside and outside the industry know they are garbage. Don't hire them.

It might be the last time before SF V splits the userbase though?

I would really love people to name an SF that died the moment a sequel came out.

There are 2000 people signed up at EVO for SF4. That number isn't going to drop to zero the second SF5 comes out. There will still be people playing SF4 after SF5 drops if only because their character won't be represented for awhile in SF5.

Reading the new title and the OP made my head spin for a bit.

Anyway, been playing semi-regularly with Hugo, Oni, Dudley and of course my man Hakan.
Sooooooo many Ryu players online.

So does the game now live up to the promises it made before release?

Well Input lag is on par to the XBawks360 version, i believe there are a coupld of audio issues here and there.
I played a couple of hours and didnt ran into any crazy bug.

It's almost as if you wanted to leave a comment simultaneously agreeing and disagreeing.

Well..I mean, congratulating them for making it how it should be is kind of silly.

Like you fucked up!

No worries because you fixed it!

I still care because now I have to travel with two sticks to EVO due to this fuck up. That's really annoying and now I have less space to buy shit once I'm out there because of it.

So yay, they are in the process of fixing their screw up, but a lot of damage has been done due to launching in a state it shouldn't have in the first place.

It seems clear to me that the swiftness of support only really happened like it did because people 'bashed them' for failing to release what they should have in the first place.

Capcom wants this in their Capcom Pro Tour. No way they were just going to "leave it be" whether there was an uproar or not. Capcom has often fixed stuff in their fighting games that no one even knew about.

Also, there's no way there WOULDN'T be an uproar, because it's USF4. So saying "well, if people didn't complain they wouldn't have fixed it as quickly" is kind of silly, because people 100% of the time WILL COMPLAIN. This is Capcom. People will complain. So how do you know what they would have done if no one complained? It's never happened before.

Both Capcom and the fans have a reason for this to be as perfect as possible.

They're not done with patches yet, at least one more is still on the way.

Hopefully this will fix everything else like multi hit moves, AA, AF, and even the very low resolution icons. Seeing that low res "start" button still bugs me. As for the Pro Tour, I think the PS4 version will be used by at least TGS in September which is the next premier event in the CPT.

I doubt it improves the game more than the last patch that "fixed" the horrific input lag, but I'll take it either way.
I'm just expecting them to add AF on all stages and improve the hit effects, which currently are the equivalent of medium PC settings. If they can reduce the lag even further and somehow make it so that a DS4 isn't required for PS3 sticks then that'd be great. I think I'll purchase it after the patch anyway since it's a very stable version now.

Guys. The audio controls do not work. I try to mute the music to play my own, so I bring down the slider and what do you think? It keeps playing quietly. How does that even happen?

why would they reduce the lag further? They wouldnt want to do that.

Sure they would. Why would you not want input lag as low as possible if you could? Ideally there would be zero lag. They're probably content as-is though.

No, because now you're making it so that there is no longer parity between it and the 360 version. You're effectively splitting the userbase again.

Not a sleight on you, but I feel that a lot of people ITT dont know why the input lag issue was a big thing. If the 360 version had the same input lag as the PS3 from day 1, no one would say anything. The reason that people are up in arms is because the timings they are used to were completely different on the PS3 version and initial PS4 version, since the 360 version is the most popular version of the game. If the PS3 version was the standard, people wouldnt want it less, because then they would have to relearn the timings. If the PS4 version was able to be dropped to 0, which pros would be happy? None of them, because now they have to account for 5f of reduced input lag that they now have to deal with to relearn links and punishes. This is probably a different case for games with an input buffer like Xrd, since the buffer would pretty much auto correct the difference in lag for you. It's part of the reason why I can switch from a monitor to a big screen TV when playing Xrd with no real drop in execution, vs SF that has no buffer.

I played on USF4 PC with vsync off for a long time and going to locals or a tourny where they used the 360 version was frustrating, because none of my links would be timed correctly. Why? Because of the reduced input lag of the 360 version. That's only a 2f difference mind you. 5f would be insane.

It isnt like a shooter where reduced input lag, no matter the context, equals better.

I understand the parity perspective, but I don't think that that purposefully not minimizing input lag to the best of their ability just because pros don't want to adjust to less input delay is a good thing. This is going to become the standard anyway. Pros can adapt to a more responsive game if they have to.

Great update again which i was not expecting to be this big. Seems like they have addressed all the issues reported so far in this update. Can't wait see to analysis from this new update compared to old one.

I think you can buy this game now based on this new update.

I didn't bother connecting my stick because I have to leave in a minute, but it looks glorious.

Really hope the PS4 community starts to build now.
