Sorry Nintendo, we've decided that Link is officially a girl

Actually Link is black now

I just couldn't identify with Link "LJ" Johnson. The Italian mobster from the 1980s riding around speedboats and supercars in Miami in the one before that, sure, but there's just something about LJ that makes Legend of Zelda: A Fault Line to the Past the worst Zelda game, despite the best music, the best game world, the best missions, the most interesting character arc, and the most content and freedom.

I can't quite put my finger on what it was, though.

That rolling beachball has made EviLore drunk
I really hope Nintendo makes a Zelda game with the badass Skyward Sword Impa as protagonist as soon as possible so we can end this stupid debate over Link's gender.

I'd like to add my support for officially recognizing Link as a girl.

That tunic wasn't doing anything to make her convincingly masculine, even in the 80's.

Evilore I DEMAND you also change race for Link too.
Conspiracy theory

Zelda is Nazi propaganda

You have Link and Zelda, the blue-eyed blonde-haired Aryan master race dealing with the Third Reich Triforce.

You have Ganondorf, the King of Evil, every ethnic stereotype combined (Middle Eastern nose, black skin, Irish hair).

And if you squint really, really, really hard, the boomerang kind of, sort of, looks like a swatiska, when thrown, and seen from certain angles.

It wasn't censored in Germany.

Disproven.

I thought this was common knowledge?

I'm not joking..

So what now guys have to dress in a way that conforms to your caveman notion of traditional masculinity?

I still thought that was a girl when it first aired.
It was originally a girl. I know because of my Uncle Jimtendo who works at Nintendo.

"Neiteio, my boy," he said, taking a drag on his bubble pipe, "I remember it like it was just yesterday. Aonuma-san realized his lead artist, Progressive Pete, had slipped a female Link into the game. Aonuma-san was outraged. 'How dare you?' he howled, slapping the artist. 'Link doesn't wear an apron! Link doesn't make sandwiches for his husband!' he cried, shooting the artist with a sawed-off shotgun. It was... a grisly scene."
