Assassin's Creed Syndicate Secrets and New features in the Alpha Demo

Crossing Eden

Hello, my name is Yves Guillemot, Vivendi S.A.'s Employee of the Month!
Someone uploaded a video which highlights the new features and secrets. (Apparently was on the official channel but was deleted)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L-l-5vuYpSw

Found this handy description on Reddit.

New things that we learn;
- If you get enemies to the point of death near each other, you can unleash a cinematic multi-kill finisher that will kill them all.

- If you run people over when driving carriages, the police will come after you.

- Shooting Horses with any weapons will send them running off, taking your enemies with them.

- Shooting the Horses twice will kill them. This will crash their carriage and create an obstacle for other pursuers.

- AC Syndicate once again gives you the ability to carry and conceal dead bodies.

- AC Syndicate will also allow the player to retrieve dead bodies from hiding locations.

- Throwing knives can create distractions to lure enemies to specific spots.

- Losing a fight can now mean watching Jacob get executed by his enemies. It is more gruesome and humiliating than ever before.

- 19th Century adverts fill the streets of London, and are interesting and colourful.

- Bloody Nora can be killed before the Gang War. It's possible for the player to stop and kill her on route to the battle by intercepting her carriage.

- If you choose to do this, Jacob will take Bloody Nora's scarf to wave triumphantly in the Gang War.

- Instead of being greeted by Nora, Jacob displays Nora's scarf to the rival gang.

Neat little highlights. Seriously, i'm quite tired of seeing this build tbh. (._. )

That hat looks like a joke, but I guess it's not. Damn, this franchise really is dead to me.
Tbh I'm getting used to it, will probably play in stealth mode all the time for the hood. Considering skill trees are back I bet quadruple multi kills are an upgrade.

That shows more attention to detail at improving and refining some of the smaller things than I expected.

Pretty cool. I don't find myself any more interested in it but it does seem like some thought went into it beyond grappling hooks and carriages.

And it'll only get better closer to release. :D

I found this video more interesting than anything Ubisoft has released so far, specially those appalling streams from the other day.

It's from their channel but they set it to private shortly after it was uploaded for some reason. I do like the tone of the video. It's faster paced than say Unity's 101 trailer.

Have they said anything about the story for the present timeline yet? I really hope at least this stuff will be better than Unity...

Were London's streets really that wide?
Yea, according to some photos of the era. There were a lot more people on the streets though, I'm curious about how crowded bridges the bridges will be.

They've revealed some details about the story of the twins. Some of which is a bit spoilery if you wanna go in completely blind. They said they can't reveal the present day story yet but that "Fans will love it."

Nice video. I really like that you can catch up to Nora and kill her before the brawl happens. They have said that missions are even more open ended than in Unity, and that alternate outcome is a pretty good example of that in action. It is also a nice touch that they show some recognition of it having taken place before the brawl.

Side note, I actually got enough points through the promo site to get a shirt. I think it's pretty cool that they made it possible for dedicated fans to fairly easily earn something like that. They had some physical goodies last year, but it was all earned by chance through the slot machine game, which means it was pretty much impossible to earn.

I love this series, but it could be so much better if it wasn't annualized. I expect this game will be good fun, and hopefully better gameplay and meaningful quests.

I ignored almost all the side quests in Unity. Were they any good?

The murder mystery things were some of the best content in the game.

Besides the detective missions, there were some really unique Paris stories. Iirc, There was one where you had to help an old blind women who could see the future find the secret to immortality. There was a super creepy one where you responded to a rumor that drinking from a well would make the devil possess you, you drank the water and the screen would get super hazy and you'd hear a voice calling you. Another one started out simple, a dude was complaining that his client still hadn't received his custom suit, you say you'll rescue the guy, you go to this very heavily guarded building, walk inside, and the guy who's supposed to be making the suit is completed covered in blood and nearly nude, says that he's been held captive and forced to tear skin off people for the suit. So you have to deal with that. I really liked "Paris Stories." And the narrative of the co-op missions.

After what they did to the combat in unity I am passing on the franchise going forward. For Honor looks to be more my cup of tee, I like Ubisoft trying new things. Seems after the blowback from PoP2008 they became extremely risk averse.

Those sound interesting, I think it was lost to me from the muddle of chests and other things on mini map. I guess just rushed to finish Unity.

For Honor looks great, I hope it becomes one of my go to multiplayer games and becomes popular.
