[RUMOR] MGS V: TPP and Pes 2016 to be 1080p 60 fps on Xbox One?

That would be awesome about MGS because I may end up splitting it with my roommate on One instead of getting it on PS4.

Hello! Are people not reading the OP? The source is extremely far from credible.
This would have been reported directly from Konami/Kojima if it were true.

I'd bet my member title on this not being 1080p 60fps.
Going from 720p - 1080p 60fps is silly.

I'd believe it more if it was 1080p 30fps.

Im quite skeptical, 720p to 1080p is a massive jump that i can't imagine a API upgrade would fix. I would bet my money it's using dynamic resolution to get 1080p ala witcher 3.

Fallen Xbot (cannot continue gaining levels in this class)
More important than 1080p, to me, is the lighting that the ps4 had versus the x1. Any hope for that? I'd gladly take 900p if I could get that excellent lighting

According to Eurogamers digital foundry the only part of the witcher 3 that are 1080p are the menu screens.

Actually, it's funny seeing that link posted here. People were asking for a more credible source, that video does contradict what the title says:

PES is NOT native 1080p on XB1.

In the video he states it's 1360x1080 (basically the same as 900p). I now really do doubt this for MGS5. Probably 1080

Is PES 60fps?

It was last year.

MGSV is probably a lot more intensive than PES will be, so the 1080pr target would still be questionable. PES developers are talking about the XB1 version, at least, any mention from KojiPro on MGSV on XB1?

Eh, I'll believe it when I see it.
720p to 900p would be one thing, but 1080p is like, pushing twice the number of pixels as 720p. I get a new SDK would bring improvements but come on.

PES being that res is a good thing. The bottleneck for past Fox Engine games was the XB1 eSRAM, hence all of the titles being 720p. If PES was able to get to above that, then they've found a way around that bottleneck and there's no question that MGS V won't be above 720p, likely at 900p or 1080pr.

To be honest, I just don't think that much effort was put into the XB1 versions of earlier Fox Engine games. I've heard excuses about deferred rendering engines, but 4A's Metro Redux was over 900p, at 60fps, and it was developed by a team used to working with tiny budgets.

I could see MS providing technical assistance to KojiPro to try and get things up to scratch.

Well, if it is 1080p60 we will hear from the marketing departments soon enough

Wait, wait, wait. So we're finally getting a game where there won't be any of those BS comparison videos or articles that really only serve to fan the console war flame and get clicks?

Cool.

Not even close.

If the performance on the PS4 isn't noticeably better, you're going to get people accusing the developers of either being lazy and not optimizing better or intentionally gimping one version for the sake of parity.

War never changes.

Why would it mean that?

More powerful machine should mean it runs better or looks better. Logical conclusion. Lots more factors at play, though.

Ground Zeroes ran at 900p and 60fps, but that was on the old XDK that required power be set aside for the Kinect. I'm not surprised that MGSV would get to 1080p.

Grassgate 2015.

There's more to graphics than resolution and frame rates.

Please! The tiniest of details will still be pointed out and torn apart. This is the internet after all.

I don't see how them bumping the res on xbone affects the ps4 version. THough after playing both ps4 and pc versions of GZ, there is definitely huge room for improvement on ps4.

Huh? every game not running at 1080 p60 is because of the hardware not capable enough, no matter which system.

I know; I'm just saying.

These two games aren't very graphically demanding no surprise there

That's because genres like sports games & 2D platformers aren't very graphically demanding on the hardware & are very easy to get those type of games in Native 1080p w/60 FPS.

Now try to do the same thing with other genres like Open World games. Very doubtful.

This crap again? Both systems can do 1080p/60. Devs wanting to push graphics to show a "next-gen leap" is when the problems come in. Even if PS4/XB1 had 5TF GPUs, a lot of devs would still push the graphics.

And if MGSV hits 1080p/60 on XB1, it'll probably be a lower horizontal res than 1920.

No. The videos will now just be about texture filtering, AA, and detail levels.

I really don't think those videos exist solely to fan any flames.
