I finally get to see Yokai Watch in HD after being stuck on a handheld.

You know, I think Yokai Watch shows just how little graphical progess...[ ]

lol

Ubisoft is smart. They look at platforms like the Wii U and Vita and see potential where other publishers see death. They are also one of the few publishers to specifically go after the Japanese market.

What a bizarre thing. I know the anime's ending credit song (and the accompanying dance) was hugely popular, but is that really enough to anchor an entire game?

The screenshot looks like the normal Just Dance silhouettes dressed up in costumes from Yo-Kai Watch.

The brand is probably big enough to push this decently.

Yes Level-5! Get all those coins while the brand is still popular and profitable!

Hopefully, since the main games are coming, this will come too. Ugh! The hours I would spend on this!

Youkai is the new Pokemon right? Where they put them into all sorts of silly things and then we look back on them fondly in about 10 years and wish they'd make a new one?

Yet all their ports have sold like trash with the exception of games catering to the lowest common denominator. That game is a perfect fit for Wii U alreight, because they alone control the dance game market.

This might actually become WiiU's best selling third party game in Japan.

Now that's funny.
What's its competition?
Monster Hunter I guess?

You think Yokai will be alive in 10 years? ;)

Just Dance Wii U (japan) didn't really sell that well. Wonder how this will do? Probably decently for the budget.

They see money in the casual market and do whatever that attract them.

What a strange cross-over project :l.....

I guess it would be a way for Level-5 and Ubisoft to ensure success on the Wii U, but still, very strange combo.

This does mean Youkai Watch OST's will be remixed/used in the game though and considering Level-5 games normally have great scores, it should be really nice to listen too :).

This is what Level-5 is making for WiiU lol

Why not a regular Youkai Watch game

haha also Ubisoft back on the WiiU train

I mean, I can totally see all those kids that remembered that their fathers bought them a WiiU thanks to Splatoon running to the stores for this one, specially if they add a Medal in there =P

Because this is a cross-over probably done by Ubisoft so it doesn't take resources away from more important projects (such as YW 3 and a bunch of other stuff).

A real YW game for Wii U is a complete waste of resource in comparison.

Ubisoft is the one making this though.

You don't need to imagine.

I could see a pokemon dancing game made by some small studio or something, but a Just Dance one seems weird to me.
