It's without a doubt my favorite series so it's a bit disappointing that you're not enjoying it so far. There's a few monster themed episodes in the TV series and OVA so I can't pinpoint exactly which episode you're referencing, although I have an idea. If it's any consolation, the TV series is the best place to begin. The TV series is 51 episodes. The series strength in my opinion is the fantastic writing and atypical characters. Headgear are able to take any topic and make it interesting. The movies are more serious, with themes of just war and very GITS like in its pacing, so if that sounds more like your thing, you could start with the 7 episode OVA (Early Days OVA) and then jump straight into the Movies.

For the record, you definitely don't qualify as someone who just "doesn't approve." I actually don't care for his posts either, but there are better ways to go about letting him know without being overly aggressive and confrontational.

Wakaba Girl 7 - Sure its a festival episode, but so cute. And packs it all into its short running time.

It's one thing to enjoy watching something like TLRD

it's another to post about how you want the protag to get with his 11yo sister

I really don't see why this is such a hard distinction to make.

Right, that's the one I was thinking of. That's the third episode in the Early Days OVA. If I'm honest with you, you'd be better of starting with the TV series. The OVA is great but I can sympathize with the idea of not knowing what to feel when starting with the OVA since you don't care for the characters and such. It doesn't help that episode 3 in particular is very strange and not really representative of the series itself. Really you have two options:

Either you can stick with the OVA since its only 7 episodes and then watch the more serious films to cap off that timeline. The movies are serious and focus on the more political side of things.

Or you could just skip that Timeline for now and start the 51 episode TV series which more much more lighthearted and what people talk about when they mention the name Patlabor. The TV series has an OVA sequel too called The New Files which is fantastic.

Sorry in advance if my comment is a bit scatterbrained.

Speaking from personal experience, if you're really this disturbed and emotionally sensitive, you should take a break from the Internet and get your mental and emotional state in order before continuing to post here. A public forum such as NeoGAF is not the best place to seek the support you need.

I really hope they make Princes Margarita acknowledge the memorial to people killed by their invasion once they arrive at the other side of the gate.

I'm not sure if its the stories pacing or bad writing but it frustrates me that people from the other world are behaving like they don't know who was the aggressors and the invaders to begin with.

That's not the point. The problem here is that you are outright antagonizing him, which does nothing but derail the thread and is explicitly against the rules. Yes, some of the things he's said are problematic and disgusting, but responding to him with intense amount of vitriol isn't going to make the situation any better. There are so many better ways to handle this. You could let him know that his post isn't acceptable without being hostile. Or if you feel that he's gone too far you could even PM a mod and talk to them about it. Anything is better than open hostility.

I mean for fucks sake, Arcadius just threatened to commit suicide because of how you've been responding to him.

I'm not sure that's my personal experience. Images, esp lewd images are certainly posted less. But more 'mature' content is discussed there. Hell that's what generates some of the anticipation for things like the Prison School anime or more TLR anime.

Because of the nature of the show Arcadius was posting about I just skipped his posts and never read them. The prudent thing for wonzo to have done is confront him via text, via PM or poke a Mod. Posting a big image in the middle of the thread by pulling information about him from elsewhere is just being aggressive and lacking in any tact. Calling shit out is fine but actually throwing shit as a first measure is just like c'mon man.

Well that's one to handle a time loop episode in an original way. Banana's and Time Paradog(s) are an unexpected combo. Good episode overall, Let's see if episode 8 follows up.

This episode was fun since Jellal is still best antagonist. Love how he managed to get his own folks gathered for his mobile guild.
