Still looking for that 4 player offline volleyball so hopefully the consoles get that and even some cross-platorm play for it would be dope too.

The thing that's itching at me is looking at how crazy the DLC has been for 5 and how the Crystal Boutique was in X2 is how this'll be handled when it comes out.

That's the one thing keeping me from pre-ordering it on Vita as soon as it goes up. There's going to be a lot of DLC and account switching is such a pain.

Even though Ninja Gaiden 3 had a rough start he proved to the world that he can make anything if he puts his mind to it when he released Razor's Edge, so far the best Ninja Gaiden game (subjective opinion but still, my absolute favourite NG game by a landslide). Same for Dead or Alive, fifth is the best one yet with only the second coming close.

You guys need to learn Team Ninja dev speak code. It's not cultural differences and other things it was never cleared by Koei Tecmo West so they covered their ass to make fake hype and pressure by saying "Oh it's asia only"

Here is the thing about Hayashi that shows than fans are nutters, he was also the guy behind the Ninja Gaiden AI that everybody praised. He was behind Hyrule Warriors a pretty awesome game that plays different from the other warriors games.

Actually those games all play different according to their set of characters.

Most of the the great Koei collaberations are handled by that guy.

His issue with NG3 was he wanted to make it easy so everybody could enjoy it and had some really wonky ideas. He started to course correct in Razors edge but he'll need to do what he did with DOA and Ninja Gaiden will be on great footing again.

Already said it is subjective, but Razor's Edge is my favourite. Best combos, most fluent gameplay, best controls, combo/animation canceling, 4 playable characters for all story and side missions, brutal difficulty, lots of weapons and spells, etc. etc.

I went back to the first one after the doa event thing... The more "realistic" models of 5 have ruined it. In Doax1, they look like scary anime monsters before they switched styles.

The surprising thing is they ever tried to be Xbox exclusive, but it made more sense last gen. Being PS4/Vita only isn't really surprising at all. You should be more surprised when a Japanese game that isn't from Capcom, Square Enix or maybe Namco is on Xbox One

The general public has no idea Criminal Panty Ninja Chronicles exists, but I still see people calling DoAX out for creepiness. DoA is a reasonably well known IP in the West, so it's way more likely to get torn to shreds by the media than certain NISA or XSEED games. Could be a factor idk

The press has had plenty of time to tear into Senran Kagura et al (and a few have), and they tore into Dragon's Crown (if any game stood to lose sales rather than gain them for such coverage it was DC, but it did great). I don't think there's any legitimate concern though if they haven't been watching the sales of DC, SK etc they may think media coverage is a valid reason to not release--it isn't though.
