It seems Telltale's Back to the Future is getting a PS4/Xbox One port this October

Noticed it while looking at the listings for upcoming games on Gamefly. It's titled "Back to the Future 30th Anniversary" with PS4, One and 360 port and it's releasing October 13th which is a Tuesday in the US.

Maybe this is a sign of a possible 2nd season?

Send me back in time if old.

Edit: BTW im just assuming this is Telltale's game, I got no idea if this could end up being an entirely different game, although I really doubt it.

Edit 2: Looks like it is the TT Game, more listings

Also up on Amazon US too now.

Edit 3: Boxart

I would love more of this game, but I think this is just proof that every 360 game is going to get ported to next-gen consoles in the next couple years.

The BTTF game was okay. It dragged in the middle and I remember episodes 3 and 4 being really buggy and sloppy feeling (I remember a bug where characters kept phasing through a bugged out Delorean that was in a place it did not belong)

Season 2 would be okay. The game did technically end on kind of a weird cliffhanger, but not the kind it seriously felt like they ever intended actually continuing (it was more of a "haha, time travel is WEIRD, huh?" note)

Yessssssssss

Loved the series. As much as I like their current stuff, this was the last one I recall being heavy on the puzzle solving and adventure elements

Will definitely rebuy

As a massive Back to the Future fan (Favorite movies of all time, by a long shot) I was HIGHLY disappointed with this game. Especially with that ending.

But heh... Great for those people that enjoyed it.

Nah the Back to the Future game was the last real game Telltale actually made with actual PnC gameplay instead of the conversation and QTE simulators they make now.

Agreed, still hoping for another Sam and Max, now those were some good PnC episodic games.
This game was not even released for the 360 lol
I was wondering why the lack of a PS3 port, guess this explains it.

Telltale execs must be fucking heated with this getting leaked

"DONT REMIND ANYONE THAT WE EXISTED BEFORE THE WALKING DEAD GODDAMMIT"

Sort of unnecessary considering any computer can effectively run that game nowadays. But hey, that's cool.

Instead of releasing new games on a new engine, remake old games on an old engine. I know Telltale's abysmal engine gets brought up in every one of these threads, but it seems like they aretrying anything to pump out as many games on their shitty engine as possible before people get tired of the bugs and just avoid purchasing their games altogether.

The classic Telltale experience.

While i enjoy telltale games and have not gotten a chance to play this series i just cant help but feel they should be focusing on more important things.

Like meeting consistent release schedule for their series
or concentrating on these properties they announce that wont see the light of day for years
or even better developing a new engine that isnt riddled with bugs

but whatever, i know ill play it anyways

I didn't really enjoy Telltale's BTTF. The puzzles and writing were bland. Gameplay felt like it was in a limbo between Telltale's earlier stuff and where they are now. Still, I can see people having fun with it.

You're right, these two things you've mentioned take up the same exact amount of resources and time to put together, so it all makes perfect sense.

The Walking Dead was my first Telltale game and I've played every one of them since.

How does Back to the Future compare?

Super easy but interesting nonetheless. It's essentially Back to the Future IV. Does some neat things with the time travel concept.

Was secretly hoping for this! Game had a better story and conclusion than the 3rd movie!

EDIT - No Wii U?! Cmon, Telltale! You gonna make us wait 2 years like TWD? Or Vita even?!

Own this game for less than a buck in a Telltale Humble Bundle and one dollar on PS3 during a flash sale with several other Telltale games.
