If anyone knows any stores that have broken street date in Seattle, San Fransisco, or San Jose please PM me, I need to get this game before the weekend!

Ok I'm loving the game so far but one thing that is annoying me already is the camera when you crouch. It is way too close and a third of the screen is covered by snake. No options to change this either

I think this is a good thing, being a god and just being able to see everything while sneaking would be a bit too easy

instead of PMs, you guys could put the info on a EMAIL tag to hide it from public, only visible to the one who can quote the post

example bellow:

I kept reading how the intro was done brilliantly.. I thought people were just exaggerating because they finally got to play MGSV... but after playing it, I honestly think this is one of the best intros I have ever played.

The gameplay is just simply amazing. It seems so easy to plan things, but when you start implementing, for me there has always been 1 untagged enemy who ruins everything.

Has anyone who got the game has been able to connect to the servers? I am just wondering if its just me.

yeah it's a just shame it's not shocking if you watched trailers,

yup the gameplay is just super dynamic ,reacting to your own fuck ups with another plan is super satisfying.

we are playing early so no servers.

first impression of the game:

1. The intro is fucking fantastic.

2. This is the best looking open world game and it's running at 60 FPS. Textures looks amazing (hugely improved over Ground Zeroes), the draw distance is great, the lighting is gorgeous , animation is top notch, and characters models are finely detailed. Really impressed by how good the game looks.

3. Atmosphere is great and the music really is on point.

4. Gameplay is intense and you really feel like a ninja, the open areas really keeps you on the edge of your seat .

I have only completed the intro and progressing in the first mission, still didn't see mother base stuff. This game is delivering all I have wanted from a next gen MGS game so far.

My impression after 4 hours last night:

1) Best looking game I have ever seen on a console. I literally was talking to myself. First game to make me feel yeah this is what next gen was supposed to be.

2) The intro is a masterpiece.

The music is good. The atmosphere is second to none.

So, there's no way to disable that in the options?

Not that I've seen it, srsly, what's up with that? I know Kojima wanted to push for the "episodic" feeling, like, each mission is an episode, but it feels really weird to see the credits every 30 minutes or so.

Yeah first attempt to rescue an old friend early on, had me making a plan B and C lol.

Yea improvising after the plan A fails is definitely one of the best parts.

Thanks for letting me know.

why you guys gotta make my wait so much harder

PM please if anybody knows stores selling anywhere around the Bay Area. There has to be somebody selling this around the SF Bay Area.

Shall we make an impressions thread?

MGS Community don't really want impressions on the thread, and they don't seem to fit in here either. Nor should they belong in the spoiler thread.
Well seeing as this thread has become the official metal gear v shipment tracking and update thread yeah, I wouldn't mind seeing another one for impressions

I'm really surprised with all the best looking game comments, I mean we all saw the trailers, it looks great for an open world 60 fps game (and a cross gen as well!), even kind of a small technical miracle because of that, but outright best looking ever? you guys are taking it too far :p

Would love to be surprised myself, GZ looked so good during night time, I was speechless, but during day-light... sorry but it was pretty average there, wouldn't say ugly but the textures were awful, enemy's models didn't look very good as well when you could see them well, you could really see the flaws and it felt cross gen, it's weird that people are THAT impressed by it visually, I guess it's the crazy hype, I can relate to that :)
