Bought the game and it should arrive on Wednesday. Three day weekend next weekend so I'll have a ton of time to play then.

Jesus this game.

This isn't a kids game, holy shit.

Excellent.
It's very surprising how dark this game gets but it does it in such a way it's enjoyable and retains that Saturday Morning Anime aesthetic, it's amazing. This is a contender for my GotY but I'll have to play other games I'm looking forward to to make sure.

Shoooooooooooooot maybe i should get this game. is it like custom robo at all?

Never played Custom Robo.

There's lots of interesting thing in this game and customization is pretty big, my biggest gripe at the moment is that you WILL be overleveled. I have done like 3 side quests and I am like 5 levels higher than key plot battles.

Got it today, and upon boot up it said "deleting all save data" which is really bizarre, luckily after saving and booting up again it didn't show that, but looking at an LP, that seems normal, but still, why do they do that? Is it doing a mandatory delete of a file Nintendo worked on or something? Any ideas?

I'd guess it's just a formatting thing just in case. Mine did it too.

Oh man, I'm at the end of Chapter 4 and Dak Sendo's
three Harliquins
are rekking me hard. Everything has been a cakewalk up until this point, but now I am woefully unprepared with the wrong weapons/equipment, and it doesn't seem like I can go back to the shop to buy new things until I beat this doofus.

Woe is me!

I'm sharing this post from the Radio Free Nintendo thread here, due to, get this, a media outlet actually talking about LBX.

For those who don't know, RFN is one of the best (and certainly my personal favorite) video gaming podcasts out there. LBX is getting some love this week, which is great, because I still have this vast concern that barely anybody knows this game exists, and those who do are immediately writing it off as being too kid-oriented.

http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/r...ave-a-fall-guy
Episode 442 "You Got To Have A Fall Guy"

It is a great time to be alive! RFN Season 5 is now fully up and running and The Summer of Too Hot for Games, brought to you by Nintendo of America, is over! James kicks off New Business with LBX: Little Battler eXperience. He's got some big news for fans of Capcom classics Mega Man Battle Network and Gotcha Force. That news? You probably ARE James Jones and you should look into LBX. Greg is seeing the world in a new dimension with 3D Gunstar Heroes and 3D Streets of Rage 2. Someone is still releasing classic games on the 3DS eShop; it just happens to be Sega. Guillaume has a game that many of you many not realize you already own, Woah Dave! for Wii U - which is free if you already own the game on 3DS. He also gives his early impressions of Final Fantasy VII, as played on a PSP Go(!); this show strives to be at the forefront of gaming. Lastly, Jon has reconnected with the world of Madden, with Madden 16. Is EA's game design strategy three yards and a cloud of dust, or are they spreading out their receivers?

After the break it's the first feature discussion of Season 5: a reflection on system end-of-life release lineups. The crew steps through the games released in the last 18 months of each Nintendo system (through the GameCube), and picks out their favorite titles. Along the way some curious trends show up. In true RFN fashion, nobody can agree on what the end of the Game Boy's life was, we all found the GameCube wanting, and there is yet another reference to the podcast's favorite NES trivia question.

In other news, it's that time again: we're getting ready for our next Retroactive feature. RFN is excited about the impending release of Super Mario Maker, perhaps to a fault. However, it seems like Nintendo has forgotten some of Mario's past accomplishments when putting together this tribute to the plumber in red. So, here is the topic for our next Retroactive: Games on the Virtual Console featuring Mario that are NOT represented in Super Mario Maker (i.e. Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros. 3, Super Mario World, New Super Mario Bros.). Any use of Mario sufficient. With all that said, we aren't ready to announce a poll. We need your help picking the candidates! Send us your suggestions for the next Retroactive, your questions, your comments, or your suggestions for our ending music to the RFN mailbag. We'll announce the poll alongside the launch of Super Mario Maker, on September 11.

I haven't had a chance to listen yet, but I'm very much looking forward to it!

The battle landscapes, though, look pretty detailed compared to the 3DS version. And there seems to be a lot more going on in the overworld in the PSP version.

That whole video was concept/cg. Level-5 seemed to like doing that. They did a similar thing when they announced White Knight Chronicles.

No fucking way! LOL

Pic, now, and you'll be credited in a Sonic Stadium article! :D

I don't have a way to take in-game shots, it would have to be a crappy cellphone pick.

The quest is about this dude who goes through life so fast, always woke up first, finished lunch first, exams first, etc.

You have to give him a Bulldoze leg part and he tunes it to make it FAST and then you fight him with a bulldoze.

Upload it to miiverse then grab the pic from there.

This game... So good.

I got it yesterday and I've been playing on and off because of kids and I'm loving it. I'm planing on sinking alot of time in this as soon as my kids head out.

I really hope this sells well so we can get more of these types of game.

Just to think that the day before yesterday I didn't even know of this franchise and now I'm loving it.

There are two sequels, Danball Senki W/W Super Custom (LBX W?) and Danball Senki Wars (LBX Wars?) ready and waiting for localization.

We just need to buy enough copies of LBX to prove that it's worth it for Nintendo to bring them over.

I'll buy 'em both!

But really, I think they want to see it selling to kids, hopefully kids watching whatever the companion anime is. It's obvious that's their target in terms of marketing. But it couldn't hurt to get some buzz in the gaming community. It really is a treat of a game.

Finally, got around to starting my game. It's really fun, I don't want to put the game down.
It doesn't play like gotcha force, as much as others say it does though.

Yeah, its a different beast. I would kill for a portable gotcha force though. They could even do red and blue editions

I'm at the very beginning and I'm liking Gabe Lewis. I like his design and the fact he seems like a nerd.

Edit: And he just joined my party. :)

That stamina (tension) systems sounds interesting! I like battle mechanics that encourage more careful timing rather than button mashing.

How's the framerate during the battles?

Framerate is rock solid for me (playing cart version).

On a different note, just did what felt like the first real boss battle. First part was cool, second portion was decent, the last part of the battle was just pushing things in terms of my patience.

But...

I'm glad there are actual bosses. And holy shit, the beginning of Episode 4 is silly as shit! Now, that's what I call making an entrance!

I'm not an expert but I believe around 30fps.

Thanks! Sounds good enough.

Just ordered it, this sounds like exactly the game I would enjoy. I don't think I really ever had a game where you fight as a robot, aside from Bangai-O.

The entire concept sounds really cool, this game is giving me massive Japanese 80s vibes for some reason.

I liked the OBLIGATORY Tournament Arc in this game. They actually went out of their way to have clips of the other prominent player's battles with a commentator going along.

A bit disappointed in the "finals" because
even thought it seemed very interesting, the Battle Royale wasn't really royale, it was more like fight 5 seconds in it till cutscene happens and other 2 players are eliminated, then a 2vs1, and then a 1vs1. I felt like it would have been better to at least let the initial battle royale play out, but I guess they needed specific characters to get eliminated first.

So obviously some quests make you use a specific parts set or a certain weapon but some of these late game quests...oy.
Using weak swords and bare hands to beat enemies with decent AI is just a war of attrition. Nothing like hitting in the single digit numbers.

Just beat the game and going about doing the sidequests I missed so I can level up high enough before going on to
new game plus
. This game is seriously awesome and I hope it sells well enough to bring the sequels overseas because I will be there day one!! Yay LBX!!

Ya some of the quests are just outright stupid but you can cheese them with Grenades.

Just finished thr story! Clocked in at 34 hours. Now I need to go through the last 40% or so of the sidequests and wrap those up before moving on to the real post-game content.

There's a sequel to the Sonic quest too. :p

Watch Da Birdie

I buy cakes for myself on my birthday it's not weird lots of people do it I bet
Was not expecting to run into an honest-to-goodness Boss Fight in a game like this...this is something I've wanted Pokemon to do for years!

My only issue so far is I hate doing Quests because of the load screen to get to them, and you can't have multiple ones activated which would save so much time...

Also, do you actually get to color your LBX later on, or is that just NPC fluff I heard from them just talking about people doing that in-universe?

Not to mention there are a lot of going back and forth between difference places, making it more tedious, after a while, I decided to just use the guide so I can quickly complete the quests and focus on the ranking and card battle.

For the color, no, though TG grade does have different color variations (iirc blue, red, black, yellow) excluding the original color and the custom variation.

Is there a TG Percival available in the game?
