Fallout 4 will be uncut in Germany.

While the uncut versions of Fallout 3 and New Vegas are still both banned in Germany, Fallout 4 now releases without any cuts in Germany.
After the surprise that was the MKX release in Germany (The first MK title that didn't get banned), the German USK (rating board) finally gets it. (*insert robot enemies from Half-Life or Soldier Of Fortune 2 here*)

Oh my god, i'm so glad! Not that i wouldn't be able to play it uncut anyway, but this will be a lot less of a hassle. Especially with modding etc, which otherwise could have been really annoying (Fallout 3 i'm looking at you!)

I will still buy the UK version, just to be sure

Great news. I barely knew anything about Fallout before buying both NV and 3 digitally and then later seeing how the enemies explode into a soup of gore instead of just falling over rag doll style.

I suppose it won't also have the English voice included?

I'd be pissed if our games would be censored again just because the germans can't handle a little gore.

I understand though that making a separate german version for the comparatively few non german german speakers would be cost inefficient.

That's good news. Though, since this is a Bethesda release, I still can't get the German version if I want to play the game in English.

MKX being released here uncut and the BPJM saying all of that is ok, should have opened the flood gates.

Still not going to buy this version, because Bethesda sucks and only puts the German language track on their games.

Let them cut off their own son's foreskin then. See how they feel about circumcision after that. (Or, to put it more seriously, circumcising underage boys for non-urgent, non-medical (or pseudo-medical) reasons, even religious ones, is a terrible act of mutilation that needs to be made illegal already.)

Yeah this sucks. I would really love to be able to play with both languages. I really hate that policy from Bethesda

Please, Bethesda, don't eff up the languages this one time! Germans don't play their games in french(*), give us german and english voices! Pretty please?

(*) When you start a german Bethesda game (e.g. Dishonored) on a console set to english, it will run in french, no in-game setting, you need to change your system to german...

Even fucking Activision learned and they are no longer doing this. Bethesda is the only holdout.

I will probably just buy a UK disc or buy the US version digitally which should be even cheaper.

These days something being cut is actually rarer I would say. You see it on way too many boxes. It's just that before even if something got an 18 rating it didn't mean shit.

Still, the German version will probably ship with German language only, which is a nogo for Bethesda games. Even though the overall localisation is top notch recently, the synchronisation is terrible. There are approximately 5 voices for female and male NPCs each... at least it feels like it.

USK is fairly chill recently and occasionally even rates lower than PEGI, but sadly some publishers havent gotten the news and censor silly minor stuff in advance cause they still fear rejection.

good lord, fuck that. which century are we living in. maybe just maybe I'll buy it off the US PSN store, but sucks having a high-end gaming pc around and being forced to play it on console because of that.

Note that that is a very rare special case because we got a completely unique version, Fallout 4 Steam will most certainly be playable in every available language. Console disc versions are another matter, there Bethesda often excludes some localizations.
