I was just playing the Spec Ford GT league.
Which is one of the league lobbies that only run certain times of the day.

Towards the end, people started to drop off, and no one new joined. but me and a few people played like 7 more races, untill it was just me and another guy.
I looked at the time and now it's like one whole hour past the closing time of that league.

Why does it let people already in a lobby continue to play after the deadline, we should all just be kicked out, otherwise, whats the point in having set start and stop times for the event?

What is up with the UK digital pricing on this and especially the Ultimate edition, £81.99!! F*That.

Seems like madness compared to many of the other regions. I went ahead and followed the guidelines for purchasing Russian store credit via Microsoft store website, and made the purchase on the Russian xbox store at a far more reasonable Ruble equivalent of £50. Now just waiting for the download of my Ultimate edition to cross the finish line.

Anyone else spawning with transmission damage? I load a track, hold the clutch, don't move and I always have 4% transmission damage instantly.

I'm using a TX wheel with p3pa pro pedals.

Edit: Known bug on the forza forums apparently. I bought this setup for this game, what a bummer.

When you said "classics", I thoguht of a Ferrari 250 GT California, a Mercedes 300SL Gullwing or a Jaguar E-Type.
An Enzo... "Kids" these days.

So we all agree that the 70s/80s GT cars are the best racing experience in a game, right? Right.

I really hope we get that rumoured IMSA 300ZX.

Disc install is going insanely slow for me. I went offline before I put it in (to postpone the update until after the disc install) and it is still creeping. Maybe going up 1% every 45 seconds. Anyone experience any similar issues? I buy 90% physicals and they generally are speedy installs (no counting any updates that are needed afterwards).

Just got my console delivered, it looks so good in person!!!
I generally dislike special edition consoles but damn if that one isn't sexy as hell. I would have absolutely have bought that if I didn't already have one (and white wasn't an available option, because it is still king).

This download is taking forever! It's at 21% and says ready to start. Anyone try to play before it's totally downloaded? Is this going to mess everything up? I should wait shouldn't I?

You could experience framerate drops, but the first 4 races are just the demo all over again before it opens up. Just do it and get that stuff behond you, if it's not downloaded then, just buy, browse, mod some cars.

They are absolutely terrific, along with the 70s grand prix cars. I want more as dlc, there's still great stuff they could add.

Was going to try it but all I got was the splash screen and then it crashed to dashboard. lol Maybe I'll wait this one out :)

Yep, I saw it on the inside sim racing's 2hr stream as well.

He has it in neutral here, and doesn't even accelerate.
at 38:06 just as the countdown says GO, you can hear the gear grinding nonetheless.

This game is amazing, so difficult with assists off and full simulation.

The race at sebring in the rain was crazy and those huge puddles caused so many oh shit moments.

thrustmaster tx feels great

I have problem with Thrustmaster TX in this game. Sometimes it changes controler configuration right before the race and I have "look straight back" on shift paddles. It's really annoying.

Is there a breakdown list of racing wheels somewhere? I want to get one now.
If you want ForceFeedBack and and play Forza with it, you basically have the choice between a Logitech G920, which is the cheapest, comes with pedals+clutch and you can an inexpensive manual H-pattern shifter upgrade, but it's gear-driven. The Thrustmaster TX is what most people here have, it's belt-driven(which is considered better), comes with pedals without a clutch pedal, but you can get great quality upgrades likes better pedals, GT-style leather-wheel, great manual shifter for it, I have it and with 1-2 upgrades I'd even prefer it over its expensive big brother, the T500RS(which is not Xbox compatible), it's reeeally good. Last option is a Fanatec wheel where you don't buy a set, you buy a wheelbase, a wheel, pedels... all to your preference. Fanatec is belt driven as well and known to make the best racing sim gear below the insane-amounts-of-money threshold. Never tested any of their wheels, but their pedals are fantastic that I can assure you. Dan Greenawalt is a Fanatec fan, I think.

Edit: Sorry forgot about the MadCatz. Don't buy that, never heard a good thing about it.

Wheels are so expensive these days. What is the best starter-midrange wheel? Is the thrustmaster 458 spider the best wheel for under $200?

Man, the download is slow but I managed to play a couple of races at 40% and damn, the game is pretty. It feels good to play a 60fps racer! That Rio stage...wow! Also, controls are tighter than Forza 5 which is great!

I'm loving the game, it's fun, and the special edition console and controller. Good stuff!

This is the longest download ever for me. I was playing while it was downloading. It will download content right away if you want to play or buy the cars.

The game is so good that it makes me want to invest in wheel and wheel stand.

G920 is $100 more then the TX.

No, when I said classics I meant like a 71 Skyline, Ferrari F40, Fulvia, 64 Aston Martin DBS, 69 Charger, 595 esseesse, Escort RS1800, De Luxe Coupe, 74 Stratos, 64 Impala, Datsun 510, Mini Cooper & Beetle etc. The newest things I'd consider classics are probably 92 NSX-R, 98 Impreza, 94 Celica, 99 Viper, 97 Skyline, etc. They'll long be remembered fondly for sure.

I love, love, love this game so far. With the exception of the handholding, and I don't think I got all my money; I've played a ton of every Forza game but only got $100,000 :/

The driving is top notch.

I have been debating on doing the same. It is a very expensive proposition, but thinking of going with a playseat and one of the wheels. Which Wheel is suppose to be the best of the best?

With the exception of the G920s price his post was spot on. TX is really the best option, unless you want to go all out and drop a grand on some fanatec gear.

It is really tempting, but I am probably going to grab the Elite Controller when that comes out. Since I am already spending $150 on a controller, I am not sure if I REALLY need another one.

I bought a special edition controller to see if I can stave off the Elite lust. We'll see early next week. $65 is a lot more palatable than $150. And if not - well, then the Elite will be my fourth controller, and that's not a terrible thing.

Man. I'm really enjoying the game.

The driving feels fantastic, probably the best in the series

The sounds are amazing

There are so many amazing car/track combos

I'm actually enjoying some of the leagues action I've played in, although it has been a little crashy but what online racing game isn't.

There are just a few things holding this game back that would make it truly amazing, which have been echoed a few times. The Career is probably the biggest issue. The showcases are fantastic, but the actual career seems a little tedious which is amplified by a few silly design choices (i.e finishing top 3 to progress, no championship points, restricted by PI in career again, no qualifying, no slider for lap length) which hold the game back slightly for me.

Still a truly great game though, and everytime I hop off I feel like I want to play more. Can't wait to get racing with ForzaGAF!

I think I really did a big mistake.

I started the game and after the first race in Rio de Janeiro, I received several loyalty rewards and one achievement.

About 300k credits and about 8 cars, some very expensive. I played every single Forza game launched, thoroughly.

After that I Accidentally selected a car I did want from the first car selection screen.

I then went back to dashboard and deleted my save to start over. Problem is that I deleted from the cloud as well.

Now I realized that all hundreds of thousands of credits and cars I won from loyalty and Forza Hub are gone!

The game is probably seeing the first achievement you get for finishing the first race and not giving me my rewards again.

How can I recover my cars and credits?

Turn10, help!

Was just checking Best buy and they have both the 920 and the TX at the same price. So between the 2 is the TX the best wheel?

And how many cars did you have in each of the games?

Guess I'm not playing my shiny new Forza console and game tonight, it's a 45GB download. How come it doesn't show the progress/percentage of the download? Just says "installing", am I missing something? New to the Xbox One of course...

Back out and go back in and it should update. It does do this every once in a while. My Wife's system was DL ESO update and it was stuck at 3% I then hit pause install and restarted and it was done. Sometimes it updates, sometimes it says installing without showing a percentage.

BTW...How does the new controller feel? I love it. The grip on the underside is really nice.

Got hooked up with with the UE from my friend at T10, so I'm pretty excited to jump in! 76% so far... I know it says I can start, but I don't like to until these things hit 100%. :p

Yeah, but when you consider that the TX comes with worse pedals (and no clutch pedal), and the included wheel is very cheap-feeling, you're in for a lot more money than the base TX setup if you go the upgrade route. Having said that, I hope I don't regret going with the G920. Will set it up Friday when I receive the Wheel Stand Pro delivered to my work.
