Atleast give me Demons Souls HD!

I love the Souls style games, but From is starting to roll them out like Call of Duty. I don't blame them since it's their cash cow, but they are going to cause people to get fatigued soon.

seems to me that all parties involved consider bloodborne its own series separate from souls.

Seriously though, I'm dumbfounded on how this company can churn out so many high quality titles in such little time... Like how?

just like how Squaresoft did it back in the day. You build your overarching engine for everything you are making and follow the same formula from one game to the next. Changing just enough to make it a unique product from the last.

So most of the work is done by the artists who have to draw up the new designs and implement the assets.

You are tired of souls yet you want Demon's Souls HD?

I would totally played a smooth playing Demons Souls right now yeah. LOVED demons souls. Best PVP of the series really. There was an actual point to wanting to kill another player. Dark Souls you had a bajillion of those life orbs anyway so it really wasn't an issue getting your body back. It was in Demons. A lot of times I was forced to invade and stalk and murder someone just to get my body back. So yeh along with the great environments and the portal system it was just my overall favorite Souls game, still is. Bloodborne is right there with it though nipping at its heels. 1a 1b type thing

They have over 200 employees and outsource a lot of the time consuming work. They are also owned by Kadokawa now so I assume that opened up some avenues as well.

I mean.. highly successful first party games get sequels. Always. Not sure why anyone would be surprised

I can understand those that have Souls fatigue but for me, I havent played a souls game yet that I would consider low quality. I also LOVE the gameplay of the souls games so I say if From Soft can keep the quality of their products high, I dont mind yearly souls!!!!

As long as the quality keeps up I'm down. Alternately I'd also welcome a Chivalry style pvp only game with Souls combat/ item/ moveset variety or twice the wait time for an increase of quality/ size.

Rockefellers. Skull and Bones. Microsoft. Al Qaeda. A Cabal of Bankers. The melting point of steel. What do these things have in common? Wake up sheeple, the landfill wasn't even REAL!

And they made him a Lord of Cinder. Not for virtue, but for might. Such is a lord, I suppose. But here I ask. Do we have a sodding chance?
Now that the dust has settled...what's your Souls + Bloodborne rankings?
I made a huge post about this a long time ago but I can't find it :( until then, I'll just post the tldr-version!

Demon's Souls
+ Bosses are perfectly melee/caster-balanced
+ Consistent map design
+ Music
+ The best difficulty balance out of the three
+ Hub layout

- PvP is shit
- Framerate is shit in 2-x and some of 5-x

Dark Souls
+ Everything up until 50%>
+ Music is the best out of the three

- Everything after 50%>
- Blighttown framerate
- Open world resulted in you seeing unfinished maps early on
- PvP is still shit

Dark Souls 2
+ Graphics and 60fps
+ PvP is the best out of the three, and overall REALLY good
+ Open world was much better this time around
+ Bonfire Ascetic
+ Consistent level of "fun" throughout the entirety of the game

- Music is the worst out of the three
- Levels become extremely insignificant very early on
- Stat balancing

Bloodborne
+ The most fun gameplay out of all the games
+ Best art direction
+ Music is finally 'back on track'
+ For the first time since DS, the lore got me hooked again
+ Consistent level design (except for very few parts)

- Too few weapons (yes, despite every weapon being so unique, I still wanted more)
- Although the PvP being superior than DkS1/DS, it was significantly worse than DkS2

Ratings (in this order)
Demon's Souls
- 9
Bloodborne - 8
DkS2 - 8
DkS - 6

Damn, From is working really really fast in a year they will have released Bloodborne, Scholar of the First Sin, The Old Hunters and Dark Souls 3 while working on Bloodborne 2.

And I guess they also have other project, what a efficient studio.

Except Bloodborne was done by Japan Studio, with some members of From Software.

Obviously it was gonna happen but now it's starting to feel like too much too soon.

Dark Souls 3 is most likely going to be the best game ever and it's gonna be played and have a nice player base for a while. Not to mention the Bloodborne DLC comes out only a few months before DS3 which will give Bloodborne more life as well. So I really hope they take their time with Bloodborne 2 and it doesn't come out for a little while.

Dark Souls II 8/10
Bloodborne 7/10

I honestly hope they don't make one.

Exclusives nowadays suck for everyone but console manufacturers, and it sucks doubly for me as I have to keep that doorstop of a system in my rotation as long as from keeps making exclusives for it >.>

U wot m8? It's these "console exclusivity" that helps produce some of the most innovative games to help sell their system. Otherwise, we're stuck with FPS#32642 or Ubiworld#226479 for our holidays.

I'm starting to feel fatigue.

After the BB dlc and DkS3, i wonder how i'll feel to keep playing these games with not much change.
FROM has many good franchises to focus on, maybe they should take a little break.

i highly doubt bloodborne 2 will be out by 2017.

but hey...even if it does, it's not different enough from the souls series to be considered its own series?

No.
But then some say yes, but they're wrong.

Are we sure this is from the official page?Because there's also a very popular Bloodborne page that's NOT official and many people think it is.Can someone post the link to the page?

Not that i'm doubting that a sequel is in the works though. It's common sense really.

No, they are fan pages. Only official one is a JP one (and it isn't coming from it).
Really don't know why this thread hasn't been locked by now.

Having Bloodborne to play on one system is better than not having it at all.

Yeah i imagined that would be the case.
I remember i was following the one that was most popular but i unfollowed them once they started posting Assassin's Creed news before the release of Bloodborne.

BUMP - I just want to know if the facebook page in the OP was official? it was an official fb and there was a slip of confirmation that bloodborne 2 is coming?
Not when you add it's extra year of development.
whose extra year? driveclub? does that detract from the profit made or something or are you saying since it took longer it should've been more successful and is therefore less successful?

i'm just going based off sales. they both sold 2 million.
No.
But then some say yes, but they're wrong.

yeah...I'm going to go with those people being right, and you (& everyone else saying this) being wrong.
